Amazing. kicks the crap out of anything. maybe slightly over powered but brilliant. decided to try it against a merciless borg

Yeah, It will be a little more expensive, take a little more time to build, and be a little harder to rank up, but for now, I like the beast I have created. I find the problem is they are a little too easily spammed, but I will fix that. And really, at first rank they can be picked off pritty fast, so they arn't too overpowered. And of course reading the real stats, this thing would be able to kill a TC on its own. 
Oh, and yes the EVO is next.
However I won't have too much time to do it, so it may be my last ship for the summer. I may just be able to squeeze the soulwolf in before I run out of time, but Don't get your hopes up. Especially if it takes as long as this one did.

Okay Adm. Zaxxon,
I tried the Beta for the Achilles and let me just say, it's pretty freaking amazing. It fits in perfectly and helps shred some borg esp early game against the dreaded merciless borg AI.
I noticed a couple strange issues:
1) the volley of micro torpedoes seems to orbit a target halfway and curve back to it before hitting it. It looks like an homage to the movie 'wanted' but with curving torpedoes instead of bullets. It is more noticeable on stationary targets like mining outpost etc.
2) I didnt see any mention of this so I will ask you, is the phalanx array supposed to drain special energy from the ship? Mine doesn't but it stops working and the icon grey's out after a while. Shouldnt it be like the Saber where the ability remains enabled unless it is shut off? because I noticed that when phalanx is not enabled the ship fires a phaser instead of the extra torps. Is that expected behavior?
All in all looks great!

1. I noticed that today. Saw the hit effect on the back of my target. Looks funny, but the larger the ship the less it does this. This is just how the torps act, and I'm not sure how to change it, nor do I want to. I like it. 
2. It is actually set up just like the sabers, only for some reason when the ship rankes up, it de actiavtes the weapon. I also don't know how to fix this. The torpedoes don't take energy. When it is not actiavted it has a phaser to makes up for the difference. Other wise, it has to turn all the way around, and it gets slaughtered from behind.
The new version will take more time to build, will be more expensive, will take more time to rank up. Also it will need the 3rd chassis level to be built, and its weapon will need to be researched. It will be more balanced that way, but its strength will not be decreased. Only its numbers.

Update: Ok guys Until now, I haven't had very much time to work on any convirsions, but Now I'm going to get back to work. I am currentally working on the galaxy EVO. It will be half way inbetween the galaxy class and the soverign class, so if I can get it exact enough, it shouldn't take very long at all. I'm still not sure about the soulwolf, but if I have time I will do what I can. Also once I am done with the galaxy EVO, I have a special secret project I will be doing. I'm hopeing to blow all y'alls minds one more time before the summer is over. Don't ask for spoilers, Because I won't give you any.
Thats all for now, I will give more updates every once and a while, but I'm hopeing to have the EVO done in a day or so. Like I said, it shouldn't take long, and I have a lot on time to do it. 
ps I will not be commenting on any guesses as to what my project is, and no hints will be given at this time. Maybe later, but I really want this to be a surprise.

the Devs said it would become a map object some time, so I will stay away from doing it for now.

thats why i mentined it as the devs only want it as a map object personally i would like to see a version we can build albeit limited to 1 and very expensive too it could have a theleron special thats best used against stations bcoz it takes a few seconds to charge and also an ability to launch scorpion attack flyers and maybe make it give it an advanced cloak as well as standard cloak the advanced letting you keep shields and weapons online but drains special energy

Well the difference between a map object and a buildable on is verry small. I'll tell you what though. I will add it to a romulan yard when they make it ok?
Really though, it isn't that hard if it is already in the game.

lol, I told y'all it wouldn't take long. Here is an update, and some pictures. For now the weapons are simple but powerful. The ship is a straight up battle ship, with no specials until veterain statious. Here is the rough scetch of the load out(by rank).
1//tri-photon torpedos
2//boosted rate of fire
3//tri-quantum torpedoes
4//second phaser
5//quad-quantom torpedoes
6//saucer separation
Todo list:
Saucer separation.
tooltips
any extra balancing, and such
And thats it. Really I have finished the ship today. I made almost all the odfs, weapons and ranks. I made finished all the balancing for now, and I think It is almost finished. It is currently in a playable form, just needs some little aditions like the special, and its tooltips. It might even be done tomorrow.
