OK the following things have been asked and here is there answer:
Q.Is there warp in fleet operations?
A.No warp took away the stratgey of the game so it was taken out.
Q.What races will be in Fleet Operations?
A.

• Federation
• Borg
• Klingons
• Romulans
• Noxter
• Iconian
• Dominion
• Ciadan

Q.When is the next beta?
A.Never ask this as the fleet operations do not state a date untill it can be confirmed you will know when the next beta is comeing out about two weeks befor it does.
Q.When installin just befor it finnishes it pops up with 'can not open file for writin' the file it cant write to is 'MSVCP60.DLL'when installin just b4 it finnishes it pops up with 'can not open file for writin' the file it cant write to is 'MSVCP60.DLL'
A. Press Ignor.

thx but this topic will not be pinned. i love to answer these questions every time and sometimes the answers just change to often eg noxter in or our or whatever. AND the forum is not for the info i should have already provided on the main page. (oh, i haven't made the faq yet)

Now does anyone else see how important warp can be, even if it was slower on the origional A2, nothing like sending in one last fleet to finish their base before they can build ships to stop you. It helps strategy so much by making the map alot more excessable.

Unless you have a map that the star field's on a2 wont fit, warp isnt needed!

Warp is simply not good for strategy. If you can send a fleet at an enemy base in a second, it defeats the strategy Doca and Optec have worked long and hard to put into the game. Impulse deployments, while slower, add another strategic element into the game.

Nope, warp is important, maybe not for con ships or freighters but they made it so shields were down during warp, so trying to warp into a base is gonna get you killed. The only reason I want it is to cut travel time, just to bring some cannoness back to the game and make people think up new strategys. Star trek was founded on warp travel thru the stars. Besides if you dont bring it back I'll turn on my mind control. You have been warned.

Nah, Warp drive in a map size like you have in Armada is unrealistic. The book "Starfleet Dynamics" (basically the Bible of the TMP era) shows how warp drive is like hundreds of times the speed of light. We're talking quarter of a second to cross a map (if the ships are scaled right) or a few seconds (if the planets are scaled right).
What'd be the point?

I agree with Atlantis. Warp is NOT cannon at all. Unless your maps are 500,000 X 500,000, it would not be cannon.

Are you serious, warp uncannon to star trek? Thats ludicris, I dont mean warp according to 'The Bible', I mean how it was in A2. Obviously if we try to go fully cannon it would'nt work and the game would be a bust. All I want is the warp from A2, thats all. Warp uncannon...may kirk have mercy on your souls.
