Streamrunner Class

Is it possible for us to produce streamrunner class in space yard for next patch?
The reason being, I was playing a 2 vs 2 where everyone was federation and 1 was borg.
The borg started producing nothing but federation adapted ships and nothing could kill it efficiently.
If we could produce streamrunner class in space yard, this could allow us to even out the game to efficiently go against federation adapted borg ships... just a thought to balance game for next patch.

The Steamrunners being in Warp-In is generally because they're rarely built and not in very large numbers when they are. Being not exactly the youngest design doesn't help.

I agree with him, i think the feds need some form of artillery, whether it be a steam runner or not, all the other races have some form of artillery
Roms: serkas
Klings: Velargh
Dominion: (um.... idk what its called)
Borg: torp assim, i guess you could say dodec too
the feds only have the steamrunner, which is hard enough to get,
so i think they need something like that, maybe a steam runner mk2?

I do not agree. The Fed gets the torp or Intrepids and a potentially free Steamrunner.
So why did none of you chose a different race? This is part of strategy...I should be very clear that a borg will choose this strategy against you...so its not the games fault but the players imo.

Though I completely agree. Saying that they're rarely built isn't exactly a good countering argument to building them yourself. If you build a swarm of them, then they're not rarely built anymore.
I do like the steamrunner being a special little treat, though. Excel II's with Intrepid escort (& proper support ships) is what I'd throw at them, but there's already a ton of strategy info around here too, full of devious little plans. If a steamie warps in, bonus. Protect it, cherish it. Tell it that its a pretty starship. . .

Other than being built doesn't mean they're in full production? If they're only build rarely, chances are only specific yards are building them. Yards the player doesn't control.
Oh yeah, about the topic title; it's Steamrunner Class, not Streamrunner.

Torp assim isn't artillery ray, it's only long range.
And the veq is one klingon avatar only, Martok has no artillery.
Personally I only class the Serkas and HSA as artillery because they are the only AoE ones out of the bunch.

By Fed Adapted ships I assume you mean that they started building nothing but adapted Adaptors?
Those are indeed very hard to crack once they are adapted fully, but they can still be countered
. They are medium range torpedo ships, so build yourself a crapload of Intrepids and they will do you a lot of good. They will do good damage even to the adaptors, still have their tri-cobalt artillery range special, and will take 40% less damage from the Adaptor's torpedoes because of ADAI.
As for Artillery ships, you might try thinking of artillery ships not JUST as ships with artillery range weapons. Excelsior I and II's I consider to be artillery ships given their long range and powerful torpedo weaponry. A Steamrunner is indeed a TRUE arty vessel, but the bombardment cruisers fulfill that role very well, especially against the larger Borg vessels

I guess i still feel like a ship like the steam runner be implemented, even if theres a cap on them

Uff ... I kiss my mining station goodbye when even a single steamie shows up at it ...
I would hate seeing more than that

And they don't have computer networks in the 24th C? You'd think on a frontline, brand-new, shipyard equipped with the latest and best (though possibly bastardized for portability/quick production)...
Fork it; referring to said networks, illegally download the schematics.

How do networks matter? Yards build what they're told, and only build Steamrunners if told to build Steamrunners.
Stealing plans that you likely already have is a great way to get arrested, if only so they can learn why you'd steal what you already have.

Okay, so let's hear your argument as to why I can't order/force MY yards to build them? (Game-Balancing Mechanics Aside)
EDIT: Would the Steam make a good mixed-tech at all?

maybe make a dumbed downversion of steamrunner with less damage maybe. i personally dont like the ship for how weak it is ,but it can wipe buildings very fast
But ive been thinking that maybe a new yard for special ships like warpins etc, but of course it would come at a cost
