No rommie Norexan is limited too, as I said. YOU DON'T LIMIT EVERY SHIP, JUST THE SHIPS THAT ARE RARE IN THE ST UNIVERSE.

Borg would obviously not suffer from this problem. The Dominion would with their dreadnought, if they get it.

limit some of the cube classes to balance the game or they would be unstoppable

They dont cost THAT much, maybe they WILL cost a fortune in later versions, but they dont now

Technically you should be able to warp any ship in, simply because of the rarity of seeing a shipyard on the front lines.

ok let's do it this way then, the ship yard you can build can only build miranda's and constitutions and you can onlyw arp in the modern ones

Why would you build a constitution anyway, they haven't been refitted in 80 year on star trek.

i agree with PD the fo mod is a fucher mod and old ships that are to old to be in servise have no pleace in a fucher mod sary.

Well that and because they went out of commision 80 years ago. Miranda class on the other hand was still being used as far as we know, you would see them and the regular excelsior class around federation space.

I was stating the miranda building post because if you could warp in all ships then you don't NEEED a shipyard. besides, have you ever seen Los Alamos (research centre that made the first A-bom) being built in a war stricken place? So why don't we remove the research stations and shipyards and just build the warp in base, starbases and turrets. sounds like idea to me .

Anyway, Back on topic. If you think that in FO there are too much sovies being made, Why don't you make the building time longer? It's such a simple sollution.... Then a fleet won't consist of only Warbirds or Tactical cubes or sovies or Neg'vars, you then have to build cruiser and othership classes aswell to strengthen a fleet.

Then the whole problem is gone.

Just think about it. How many carriers are in the US navy? 12. why not 100? because of the long building time. if you build one carrier the enemy can make a fleet of let's say frigates in the same time. Now guess who would win then?

There is also the thing that carriers cost a fortune to build and supply :S

But I totally agree with you roach, maybe they could even cost a bit more resources that would be nice too
