Just one little thing Ray, would you be able to turn down the weapon/explosion effects a bit? It was really hard to hear Boggz and Clint at some points during that last replay when there was a battle going on... :sweatdrop:

Other than that though, top notch and keep it up

@ blazing, id love to, but i cant lower effects volume any more, were you unable to hear my voice as well or just boggz and clint, cus if it was boggz and clint i can boost their sound

We can't boost our own sound but you can increase our audible sound on your own through teamspeak.  Maybe try that next time before the game starts :).

Ahh I see, yeah I could hear you fine, it was just during the big battles I couldn't hear Clint and Boggz...

The in-game sound options need an option to set a maximum limit on sound effect volume (since the sound effects stack.)

Great play by Boggz.  The sabers really had me worried and I did play a bit too cautious.  Appreciation to Elim for sticking out the tournament.  Hopefully we have more in the future.

Nah you were as cautious as you needed to be in order to win.  I tried to play Saber spam the way I play Klingons .  Didn't work so hot I'm afraid :D.  When I switched over I shouldn't have done Monsoons but straight Intrepids instead.  I was more concerned with popping your KBQ before you could build up too many but really I needed to avoid you ranking up as well and the Intrepids would have done that better.  Oh well :).

Shrikes and Mijjie in the first game, Sabers in the second ... what was I thinking? :D

Really nice game! The Sabers were a good idea but the KBQ was really a nasty counter for it :)
I bet that Sangs might have ended this game even sooner since they could have wiped out the turrets faster...
We could also see the problems that Saber start produces...switching to other ships after losing a number of Sabers is hard and can cost you the game :(

Yes indeed.  For a tourney game I should have known better than to choose a strat that is so easily countered by KBQ and hard to switch away from.  Oh well ...

The Cover Fire can be really helpful but it can also cause you replaceweapon nightmares .... :D

I shoulda gone a much safer Intrepid/Monsoon start and gone from there.  I kinda felt bad when I chose Mayson (hoping to ensure a game 3 :D) so I decided to do Sabers instead of the basic start.  Wah Wah wah .....

Butters and I were talking today and we think that the kbq would have failed against the sabers without the early torpedo drone.  Most of the early kills were due to the drone and I sacrificed building about 2 earlier kbq to get it.

indeed, but whats the point of building a ship and skipping one of its key strengths? u also could have built more kbq with the res spent on field research.

monsoons do badly if u skip proximity torp.

if boggz had gone mon spam from the start he would have probably won, but its a boring strat. massed kbqs are a boring strat too. i noticed how the kbqs sucked the supply dry too lol.

once the sabres failed and u switched to mons i think u should have stuck with mons rather than mixing mons and intreps, cos auto target went after the mons and ignored the adai intreps and adai didnt help at all. the micro needed to put the intreps out in front and take the shots would be incredible and cloak would negate it. intreps on their own from the moment you got chassis 1 would have worked better cos only they could get hit.

i really think that in tourneys we see such boring strats like spams. cos at the skill level of boggz and clint, if u dont go for the strongest strats u are left at a distinct disadvantage.

im not trying to take away from the skill clint showed, he is one of the best players.

Agreed Myles.  Some strategies just don't have a good counter that doesn't involve some form of spam.  For Klingons, switching from kbq to anything else in the small yard involves additional supply.
