List of awesome youtube replays

Or we all agree to make one thread that's stickied, and we each have our individual posts early in the thread that we can modify.  That one thread could then be stickied as an "archive".  Then any posts not relevant can be deleted.  That would take the least amount of energy on everyone's part, I think.

i like this idea.

I really think this thread does the job quite well for letting us know when a new one has been posted, beyond that there's subscribing to each commentator's YouTube account.

While I'm here... Big thank yous to all of you that post these replays, you've provided us with hours of education and entertainment!

This was so painful to see...Misuse of Akiras and not using the overwhelming Defiant fleet...Alpha could easily take out Monsoons in no time ranking the Defiants. But instead camped at the yard for nothing. Really painful.

Well Drrrrr, thats the difference between u and me. U are far more exprierenced and would have done everything right!!! 

Actually i tried test something different and didnt want to go the same Intrepid spam vs. a mixed Moonsons/Intrepids spam as always. So I wanted to tech up to Defiants asap, but without any firepower i would have been dead in 5 minutes. That Akiras are not good vs. Intrepids -> well who knew?
By the time i had one Defiant, Viking had 10-15 Moonsons/Intrepids and when I had 6 Defiants he had 25-30 Moonsons/Intrepids, Warpins and killed my natural expansion... So where and when should i have attacked him.

Please tell me, because u are so much more exprierenced and know always what to do in such situations...

Ill try to keep ur tipps in mind for the next time.

Well, I really don't have any critisisms aside from no warpin and no Akira special. If you had the special, you would have won.


SIDENOTE: I think it was Myles who said "The federation doesn't need another superweapon. They have the Akira."

@Alpha

First thing you should do is scout. Then you would have seen that Warpins and Monsoon/Intrepid fleet splitted at one point. At this critical moment all your focus should be to take out the LR Warpins as well as the artillery = drop down in supply (you tried but you retreated too early).
Second thing is that you had a bad micro taking out Monsoons and Intrepids. The Monsoons suffer from the Defiant very much (SR, pulse)...the Defiants can stay in battle very long, can keep up with the enemy ships and eat small ships fast. You did not press your advantage here...and thats why you lost. The fleet you faced was beatable imo. You had the yard, the better ships and a crit mass for sniping smaller ships or LR stuff. You did not even tried to attack the mixed fleet. Remember, the Intrepid/Monsoon fleet was all SR and you had Defiants with AA and pulses and a yard! You could have easily taken out 3-5 or more Monsoons...

Nice replays.  Why does it seem that the slower player always gets beat or the fastest expanding player always gets beat?

Don't worry, Alpha.  Drrrrr was raised in the woods and hasn't learned how to interact with people yet.  Kudos for trying something new.

Mal you are wrong. Its common for Germans to name the problem. That way the problem can be fixed asap...
