still, the bugs are the ONLY SHIP IN FLEET OPS that does it, and the AI doesnt even use the ability. I certainly doesnt make up the majority of ship deaths.

Still, it would be cool to have derilict (and unboardable) ships floating around for eye candy.

not really, be a pointless system drain for most. also you may get confused during larger battles a with you wandering why you cant hit anything as you fleet is ripped apart.

Actually I think that 30+ people on a destroyer are more likely to be killed than 400+ people on a battleship lol
And I do like that idea, but only for eye-candy. Also it would be cool if you could somehow extract opponents special weapons or something from their derelics

Yes, the 30 people are more likely to be killed, but their ship is more likely to be completely obliterated as well.

isn't that the technology assimilater beam, doubt it can be set-up to just effect derelicts. in fact i dont think it even effects derelicts normally lol

Non of the avatars have anything to do with the tech assimilation beam(check the info avatar info )

But yeah they would loose one of their features, still Im convinced they are more than willing to make the necessary sacrifice

They still have their assimilation beam and stuff. They could share one of their non-important techs
I dont think its possible to get special weapons from derelicks anyway, so it doesnt even matter lol

i agree, all species should have this ability, combined with the upgrade shields/weapons/systems tech it would really give the game an edge, becuse you could upgrade your fleets and better them.

i wish i cud capture a ferengi vessel and use its transporter but it won't let me!
