The only problem with the nova is its a fairly small weak vessel.

In my build, they're one of the weakest destroyers in the game, but they're fast and they can be upgraded with a Deflector Burst special weapon (similar to what the Enterprise-D used against the Borg) and the Gemini Effect special weapon, making them useful for fast passes against destroyers and cruisers in midgame.

For FO, I could definitely see them having a more support-oriented role, since in FO, harassment isn't a significant Fed strategy.

  Ray, Feds are THE WEAKEST race in the game in terms of raw fire power. Is the special weapons that even things up. If you don't learn what their special weapons are and don't use them correctly, will never gonna win. So stop complaining that the feds are weak, they are, you're right, but this is not gonna change. Is intended that way.If you wanna play with some really powerful units, try borg.

again galefury did you even read my post, so y dont you stop complaing aabout me and get over it, dominous and serpicus and some of those guys taught me how to play with alot of the races today, and i understand, if you had actually read my post you would have seen that,

i know feds arnt the most firepower oriented, but i wouldnt say that there specials are the best, look at borg nanitnes, and beam cutter, and the kligons feild of fire, and cloaking and such, those are good specials to,

so maybye i should complain about fed (as dominous i belive said) early/middle/late game dosent have enough defense, lol

i have tried borg, i like borg, but i havent been able to figure them out on small maps, whenever sombody else plays as borg on a small map i get massacred (hopfullay not after what ive learned) and when i play as borg on a small map against sombody i get killed, i just in general cant handle borg on any map unless i have a temate or its the daka corridor,

  That's because the feds aren't a combat oriented race. Their specials are about decreasing enemy fire, blackout sensors, disable weapons, they don't do damage like the rest of the races. And read your first post, you did said some ships need boosting, as Borg101 pointed out.

this thread is turning into one of those little monsters .

i think that some kind of strategy manual is a v good idea. imo something like wiki would be gr8 like those 2:

Well, it would be nice to see the Sovereign-class made somewhat more useful, but I don't really think the Feds need any "powering up" beyond that.

lol.  Saying Feds are fine and now you're just listing how they "could be better."  Its quite humerous.  Its exactly like all your other whines about how Feds are underpowered.  The only difference is you've figured out how to play them a little.  Kudos on that.

Oh for christ sakes just leave him alone! So he still has some suggestions, most of which are supported by the community. It doesnt give you the right to start turning this thread into a ray bashing. Which all of his threads end up turning into. And if you're going to say if he hadnt posted then it wouldnt have happened, need i remind you that no one is responsible for anyones actions but there own. Now give it a rest.

It's Dominus as in latin for "master" or "owner of slaves". Not DominOus.

    Any who all I really wanted to say, is that you are right. I think mostly the feds are fine, and to fix them(get them on par with the rest of the races) only a few tweaks need to be made.  Even what you said were good tweaks, however I think one more is necessary. 

    Right now you have Ideas to help them in the middle game i.e. nebula tweak and late game with the sovie.  The only thing I see that is missing is early game.  They get pounded by high costs, troublesome upgrades and slow build.  So I think we either need to decrease the build time of the saber, or decrease the cost, or make it more powerful.  These small tweaks would keep the game in balance while still letting the feds stand up to races like the klingons.

For all these reasons and more I strongly urge an affirmative ballot.

Okay, in keeping with what I've done whenever Ray says stuff about Gclass sep: MAKE IT YOURSELF!!!

Anyway, I personally believe what Ray believes, that with the advent of MVAM tech, the Galaxy Saucer would get it's own warp core, and would be able to fight independently. ray, you've really matured, and I sorry for the nasty things I said to you. Anyway, back on topic, please.

And in this thread that "reason" (however weak it was to start with) has now gone, so the only reason left to bash him, is because you seem to be enjoying it. And that's not gonna do yourself any favours, so leave off.

EDIT: There is NEVER a good reason for bashing suggestions. If someone makes a suggestion you think is completely stupid, all you have to do is explain why you think it's a bad idea. Even if someone posts something that's been asked a million times before, or in the wrong place, point it out however harshly you want, but you should never deliberately bash someone for it. Not when it's just ignorance (or just not knowing). Arrogance, or people being arses about it, then yeah, fight fire with fire, but Ray's always been trying his best to make good suggestions etc.

As for Saucer Sep, I'm still pretty much against it, it's too gimmicky for my liking. But yeah, if you want it in, make it yourself.
In fact, there's nothing stopping you making whatever changes/tweaks you want to it yourself, if the Dev Team turn them down. That's what I do.
