Some Minor Changes (especially Ships), I Request
Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

Ships:
Add:
- Norway Class, launching Peregrine Raiders
- Nova Class e.g. instead of Newton Class, you should use available ST-Canon-Ships
- Draconarius, Griffin, Raptor, Shadow, and Veles-Class from A2 lookt pretty cool. You have much similar looking Romulan ships (because of Refits). Take at least some of them back, instead or additionally to the Refits, to have more variety.
Remove: (sorry, i don´t want to criticize the modelers work, but some Ships don´t really fit into ST-Universe):
- Canaveral Class looks ugly. it shuld be repaced by the upper mentioned Norway Class
- The Remoore is not really looking like a Starfleet Ship. The Shape is not Federation-Typical.
- Sang-Class looks more Romulan than Klingon
Special Weapons:
I didn´t see Antimatter-Mines, Spy, Sensor Scrambler, Engineering Team, Chain Reaction Pulsar, Shield Disruptor, Corbomite-Reflector, Death Chant, Shield Inversion Beam or Repulsion Field in the Beta2 Techtree.
You could use more of the given Special Weapons (If they are not too weird), instead of using one SPW twice (e.g. Tricobalt Torpedo, Hyper Impulse Drive). Especially the First 4.
I also recognized, that the ships where hanging too often on asteroids and did´t find the way to a distant destination. Maybe the Maps should leave a little more space for Navigation.
For what reason have you no Cardassians as a playable race? They are a major Race in the ST-Universe.
I would also like Breen.
Did you ever think about non 24-Century Races like Xindi or Gorn or what about Classic-Movie Federation?
It would be cool to ask and support external Teams to work on additional Races (with the advise to keep the balance)!!
To ask you to improve the Network Code, especially on XP-Systems, would not make much sense.
This would be the last thing then, which makes a perfect Armada-Game.

the nova is a small exploration vessel not outfitted for starship Maintenance like the newton is
i do agree that the remoore is not a typical starfleet design(maybe the model could be changed thats up to the team
.)and also the canaveral does look abit ugly(maybe that could be changed as well
.)
anyway i think that the team have done a great job
also i think that adding ships from armada 2 would spoil the creativity that the fleet ops team could do for ships etc....but we will see maybe they might grant a request or two

some vessels you mentioned, like the norway, will come in the next version as avatar vessels (see news archive for more information).
the canaveral and the remore do both have old models and will be replaced in future versions. we try to replace a few of the old models with every beta.
i think i will add the sang class to the list for new models, too

In the final version there will be 8 Playable races (Federation, Klingon, Borg, Romulan, Dominion, Iconian, Ciadan and a last one, maybe a redone version of the Noxter) and a large number of non playable races, whoch can appear on maps, like for example Tholians, Hydrans or maybe Xindi and some other "old guys".
Nope, there won't be support for external modding groups, cause we want to keep a uniform look and style for Fleet Operations

I'd love to see some Gorn from SFC2 with their plasma torpedos and Cardassians, from uh, TNG and DS9 and Voyager and pretty much every show since TOS...

i remember the gorn as a playable race in the mod birth of the federation... the suliban were in there too.. i liked that stuff.. maybe we will see things near to this .oO( specially this lil ball ships of the sulis i love them

Ah yes Bryans mod. That wouldve been great if it had been completed, but the AI problems were too complex. Its very difficult to have such a detailed AI system, to progress through the ages like that.
But the Gorn will be back in a couple of the newer mods, Empires & Federation i think are going to have them, and Cold Front II will have them, in an entirely new style, kinda a hybrid of SFC and SFA styles....
The Gorn are coming back.
PS: Suliban are going to be in Phantom's Armada 1 mod "Past Tense", I think
But the Gorn will be back in a couple of the newer mods, Empires & Federation i think are going to have them, and Cold Front II will have them, in an entirely new style, kinda a hybrid of SFC and SFA styles....
The Gorn are coming back.

Death chant is still here, but now it's on a station called mqbara station

Maybe you can put cardassians in instead of the noxter, as you said maybe I thought you aren't sure about that, so that just a suggestion

I say keep Noxter, why take out a decent race already made? Just throw them in there instead of the Ciaden or Iconians, whichever race wont be as cool as the other lol

I don't know I don't like the noxter very much, maybe species 8472 instead, they are played the same and are cannon, and about cardassians hhhmmm I think they should be in, either by replacing the existing race or making a new one.

thought the same way a few months ago, and i never play noxter... even as an enemy.. i dont like the whole design.. cause its lookin much like a hybrid wit starcraft and the species from Armada1... u know.. i think it was the second mission with the borg...

Ok heres what you 2 do, play as Noxter against some AIs and try them out, they grow on you. Heres a tip, put all your stuff inside of nebulas where the enemys can't see them only comming out with miners to mine. Your INVINSIBLE in there!

I have played with noxter once and they, for my standards have too weak ships
, and I prefer quality against mass
