Upgrades for economy would apply for all races then, right? Or can there be different kinds of economy upgrades for some races, but still every race benefits in a way, it stays balanced?

Will there possibly be an upgrade for the cloaking time?  :D

some more ideas

1) ramming speed! when a ship of any side is near death it will automatically ram its self into the nearest enemy ship and do some damage. (obviously it should be possible to shoot down the ship before it rams. and obviously there should be a enable/disable button on all ships for this).

2) Another non-collective-connections based borg ship. ok i know that collective connections are the borgs soft cap, and im all for it. but there has been a couple of games that iv played where im harvesting so much that im completely limited by collective connections, and to build more ships i build the borg destroyer that doesnt need collective connections. but in my view its over priced for its power. could we not add another ship like the borg destroyer but thats slightly more powerful than the destroyer and costs more trititainium than dilithium. (will help to get rid of all the trititaium i have)

3) bounties! have a bounty board like in sins of a solar empire(which im sure u guys must have played).

Well only the Dominion really have this because we've seen in the past that a very cheap vessel crashing into a very expensive vessel often leads to ... frustration ... not to mention the fact that right now it's a special ability for the Bug that makes it unique and keeps it very useful throughout the game.

If you're simply overflowing with di and tri you can always make more supply depots, spam Probes out of your Matrix, stuff like that.  I am all for having a few more Borg ships but if you're not specifically saving your money and you've accumulated too much while you wait for collective connections then there are many things to spend it on.

Well that was kind of the idea behind the Klingons getting Supplies for killing ships.  As your vessels rank up and your Captains become known for their exploits throughout the Empire you begin to receive support from different Houses to aid in your war effort!  :badgrin:

  I know these things I've said aren't exactly what you're getting at, but keep in mind that each race needs to feel unique and that broad, across-the-board changes like these are very hard to implement without turning everything upside down  :wacko:.

Not to mention you can actually buy Collective Connections over and over if you have a lot of supplies to spare as well  :thumbsup:

You can do it as often as you like, although it would be costly to do it over and over.  Better to just buy another Connections upgrade unless it's last last two, which are really expensive.

another idea

1) Fortress. a uber defensive stucture thats about the same strength and damage as say 8 oridinary defensive turrents.

nah im not talking a star base here, im talking a fortress. something thats the same as 2 star bases combined. something that even 2 borg tac cubes will fear to go up against. something that sends shivers down a captain spine and makes him think "we should go around this thing". lol

I would hate this :).


  Fleet Ops, not Turret Ops.  I hate playing people who turtle.  Perimeters are already enough of a pain in that ass because AT charges still affect unlimited enemies.  Starbases got big boosts in shield strength.

  Large stationary defences just drag games out.
