Reman Avatar Scimitar

Dunno if this has been proposed but for the Romulans in the future what about adding a Reman avatar that would be able to build a Scimitar instead of the Tavera. The Scimitar could gain the ability at veteran level to fire (for a limited time) while cloaked. Make it as tough as a dominion dread or slightly higher. And maybe get a thaleron weapon that has a limited arc and take a couple seconds to fire but kill a set amount of crew on each ship within its firing range.

Also, the Remans themselves won't even be as high as a minor race. Sharp crackdown on discipline, I hear.

Hmm... well the radiation special for the scimitar i imagine would not kill all crew, but make it so that it has a chance to knock out life support..... that could balance it more, then it would just be like nanites....

How could Thaleron be believably balanced without turning it into stock Borg? A shot from that weapon would strip an M Class world of the entire population...

I would imagine you would have to nerf if, maybe saying the newer Scimitar class ships werent able to recreate the originals design the same way. make it a limited arc, give it a few second charge up time, and say it only kills a certain percentage of the crew or as previously said just knocks out life support for a short duration. You could even say that other empires have modified their shields to help absorb such a weapon to make it less lethal. Theres always away around such things in the trek universe.

In the FO universe, the Remans have been reduced to slave-laboring subservient tools in response to the crap Shinzon pulled. That said, the Romulans will get a third avatar in the future, and I'm curious to see which direction the team takes with it.

The FO storyline doesn't allow for a Reman avatar and frankly the only known Reman vessel is the Scimitar which is close to being a God-Ship.

Having said that, in the Titan novel (i know it is not canon) the Remans, being a slave race, managed to put together a fleet by salvaging ancient Romulan designs.

A possible Reman NPC faction could make use of Romulan Bird of Prey and retired D-7 cruisers. Refitted with more modern weapons but with relative weak shields, slow cloaks and low speed.

Overall not enough for a full avatar or race, but perhaps interesting enough as a minor NPC faction.
