Well the size of vessles does count for something in FO, check the info tag on FO site if u dont belive me :P

Though I dont understand how will fighters work anyway :(

I assume they shoot phasers or disruptors and possibly torpedos at target in range of the carrier.

To make Multi-Vectored assault mode, why not just split the prometheus into 2 pieces, and then the second piece splits into 2 more- because if that could be done at the same time it could work...

I dunno, It seems logical. I looked at where the prometheus splits, so the first split would be the saucer and hull, and right after those split the hull would devide again. Tell me where I'm wrong, but if you can split 2 pieces once, you should be able to split it twice.

i didn't say you were wrong :) . i just doubt the A2 engine can handle something that complex, i think the danger with that is probably the same with the other attempts... duplication you might not be able to stop it duplicating when you try to reintergrate them. besides as i've said earlier its not the splitting thats the problem with the MVAM... its the fusing/reintergrating. read the whole thread dude -_-

ad the fo team has sed be for is thay will not sepert the ship and thay can find a reson to do so that whood be usefull in the game ether.

Woah you guys have got it all wrong, using the A2 engine you can only have 1 seperating weapon that seperates one ship. This is hard coded into the game. However you can have as many fusing weapons as you like that fuse up to 8 ships into 1. Thats the problem with the prem although you can fuse 3 pieces back together you cant get three pieces in the first place.

After that being said though I dont think seperation should be added unless its a weapon that just causes massive damage with an animtion of the ship splitting firing then recombining, ie not being able to control the pieces.

actually most attempts to get this right have succeded in gettiung the three pieces from 1 but, only 2 of them fuse back together the other just duplicates itself. :hmmm:

what hapinds in one of the peaces is deistroyed diring comabat can you still recombind with just 2 part?

if the 1 that duplicates itself gets destroyed the the 2 that usually fuse do so as normal but like normal doesnt look like the whole prometheus, just the suacer end.
if 1 of the pieces tha normally fuses, it usually crashes when you click on the reintergration button. :(
