no brainier for me. Excalibur. It would look amazing in FO. As for the Galaxy X...The Idea was only created by Q and it was never really done. That time line is non existent. In stead they built the Sovereign class, which was used. IMO the Galaxy X does not deserve to be used in FO and it is WAY over used.

Watch it again, the Niagara Class has 3 Nacelles.

Almost every ship and station in the game isn't canon, so non-canon isn't a problem at all.
P.S. Galaxy-X is still in the lead.
the ares which i voted for has only 2 and the promie on has 4 full size ones. Also its one of the few exceptions i make regarding the whole 2 nacelle thing.

Prometheus - 2 on upper Stardrive, 2 on lower Stardrive, 2 on saucer. Last I checked, 2+2+2 doesn't make 4.

the saucers nacelles are so tiny that i wasnt counting them. i did say *real*

They are Nacelles, they propel it through Warp. That makes them real. Real does not mean Big, that logic says the Warp Naccelles on Warp-capable Shuttles are not real.

I was under the impression that they are the things that create a stable warp field. Then the space around the ship moves. I am not disputing weather or not a ship can have three or four nacelles. Also has anyone considered that it might not hes all at the same time? maybe it only needs that many for MVAM. Maybe it only uses two wen fully integrated.

It porbably doesn't, but it was designed with 4 in a position that should allow it to use them together. I doubt Starfleet would deviate from the more common '2 nacelles per ship' look without reason.

I do agree that it has 6 tho. In the saucer section it has one on top one on bottom. They are small, so I think it would only allow for low level warp travel. As for the only two design. I think that is all they need, but I don't think it would stop star fleet if for some reason three or four worked better.

Memory Alpha said that 2 is the optimum number, though 3 could have advantages if designed correctly.
On another note, the Excalibur is quickily catching up with the Galaxy-X.

YEAH! Tho I don't know about the trans warp refit. I don't like it, and I don't think it would change the look of the nacelles, sense the Borg don't have nacelles at all. I think they would have let it go with the excelsior.

I'm Pretty sure that Either the Diligent or Excaliber would make good Warpin ships! If we're going to use the Wells class, it'd mean that there would have to be some Temporal effect. Either way I'd like a Warp-in ship that can beat the crap out of the Borg.

Ohh, the Excalibur has taken the lead! If one of the other ships doesn't pick up soon, it'll be a race between Excalibur & Galaxy-X.

Btw.:
It was Gene Roddenberry himself who set the rule that Warp nacelles should be even numbered.
That would make 6 ok, but not 3.
Why they broke that rule in All Good Things, no idea. But Gene wasn't around anymore then, so...
And now we got the Kelvin.
