sorry to be nasty, but i dont like the look of it either. we already have the kbq.

i think reaplacing the sang should be done by something else.

personally i think the sang model should be having the vutpa's torp dodging (as its small and looks hard to hit) but is not big enough to be a troopship.

and the vutpa model should be the torp spammer that the sang is now, as its chunkier. and maybe another ship could be a troopship, as the sang is probably too early in the tech tree to be a troopship.

That wasen't nasty, I'm looking for feedback just like that, lol. I guess most klingon fans here are bop type fans. I'm a d-7 type fan.

not at all, i love ktinga lineage, but i think that the ktinga and kbq are both in game and are enough. this thing is too similar.

But the b'rel, kvort, sang, veqlargh, and susa are all bop type ships...there are only three d-7 type ships in game.

well brel and kvort are canon. the veq and sang look nothing like them/each other. and to be honest i wouldnt call the veq a bop really. it looks like an independent ship type.

They have the same basic shape, aside from the veq, but the veq has the neck and head of a bop, which is why I added it in there.

I can see a minor similarity between the Sang' and K'Vort, namely from a top-down and aft view. Even if the neck/wing thing is a common trait of Klingon ahips, the Sang' Class has more in common than the other ships.

Indeed...So, while they don't look a whole lot alike, they still could be called bop types.

Ok, so It's pretty much official that no one likes my canidate for replacement...So here is the last ditch effort.

Dear devs,
Could you please add this ship in as a map object?

maybe a little bit repetitive but yeah, it is pretty close looking to kbeajq and ktinga. also the luspet. its like taking the extra length from the luspet neck, and putting it on the kbeajq.

not that I'm opposed to additional klingon ships.

if there was gonna be an additional klingon ship, i'd want it in the field yard central facility. but i think that ship should be added while thinking about filling a role, rather than add it and find the role later. its the role that is the difficult bit to devise.

Indeed, the only thing Klingons may lack in the field yard is a dedicated short range counter. However, the KVort can also fight any short ranged vessel successful, so it's not really necessary. I'd rather see a mid game long range counter between B'rel and Negh'Var.;)

I like the model, i think the klingons need a vessel with a bit more of a fierce look to it, everything they have atm seems small and unintimidating.

The ships are small, fire tiny photons and most dont even have the full array of weapons from the tv shows they are more like playing as the empire of bolians.

The only ship iv seen with any form of visual teeth so to speak is the luspet.

*buzzer noise* that's not the entire truth :D

Martok lacks a good short-range counter, Taq doesn't. She's got the Chargh, and even though it's better suited to bombard stations and battleships, groups of them can effectively fight short-ranged vessels. Their passive increases the damage of their already strong torps against short-ranged units so I'd consider it a counter to short-range

'Fierce' ain't exactly the word I'd use for this ship... comical is more like it. If the Klingons want to intimidate the enemy, the bring out the Negh'Var; that's the type of ship deisnged to show off the empires might.

Almost no ships fire their full array ingame because it would ruin the gameplay, imagine a Borg Cube firing every weapon as a full volley.

actually he said in the field yard, chargh (and vorcha - another good way to deal with short range ships) are both in the battle yard.

personally i dont think taqqy needs a short range counter. but with martok he has to climb up to vorcha, which is a little bit higher.

thankfully, the main short range issues can be fought by other ships. s2 spam can be fought against with similar numbers of field yard ships, or go for vorcha and hold out with some field yard mix. kbq special will tear down retreating s2 and kvorts have high damage and kbqs tank for them.

monsoons are dealt with by kbq/kvort mix as well. of course vorcha will help too. the current field yard can hold off short range attacks until vorchas arrive.
