I love the K'lsarza, I'd like to see it in fleet ops in one of two roles...A. as it was intended, a high speed interceptor, or B. A battleship. What are your thoughts?

How about some info because it is most definitely not a design/class from the shows.

On the subject of further Klingon vessels, i would argue in favor of fewer designs instead of additional ones.

might give us unknowing noobs a clue what the K'lsarza class is?

a quick and dirty google search revealed only three results, one of it linking me back to this forum, one to an weird text in an to me unknown language and one to a more useful page...
It appears to be a longer-necked version of a ktinga-like cruiser from another a2 mod and is supposed to be a destroyer.

what my thoughts are? well, we already have some interceptors and some battleships which are quite fast....

It was from FASA, non canon...A small, fast interceptor from the tmp era. it was only 190 meters long, and armed with four low power disruptors. I was thinking, make it a cruiser, put a long range disruptor and a long range torpedo on it, and call it a day.

Turn it in to a  High speed interceptor/ mine layer . Basically  a high speed ship  that  hunts in packs. weak weaponds and  easy to kill . One Special is Compound torpedo is composed of  several  sang type torpedos that  is like a  proxcimity mine  once deployed by the larger  torpedo caseing kicker  motors.  The weapond either  launches  like a normal torpedo  but  at close proxcimity to target  seperates in to 3  sub munitions each hitting a  differnt portion of the ship.Compound torpedo range is medium range. Mode two is  where the munition is deployed like the  attack drone except it is a static mine . A Romulan mixed tech could  deploy  cloaked mines. The second special is "wolf pack" where  all K'lsarza class  ships when this ability is toggled on only one ship it will act as  a leader and all other K'lsarza class  will  attack the same target as the (pack Leader)Alpha  ship.

It could also be a potential replacement for the sang, it looks more like a torpedo ship then the tiny sang does. Where does the sang fit all those torpedos? With this thing, at an appropriate size, it woulden't be a question.

The Sang uses Micro Photon Torpedoes (seriously, does any Klingon ship use regular Photons? This goes against Klingon norm), which are much smaller than a regular Photon Torpedo. Aside from that, it's a Klingon ship so it likely has little else other than main systems and Torpedo storage space.

Anyway, I agree with Andre27; the Klingons don't need more ships.

hm, yes, we have no plans in adding more klingon ships. there are some models that are really outdated which are on high priority for renewal or replacement, so we are of course always open for design recommendations.
the info on this design seems quite limited (as zap already mentioned). aren't there more sources (pictures) about this class available than a stamp sized image from another mod? :)

What kind of info do you need? I could only find a few pictures on it though, hopefully these'll work.

Well, you have my vote on the sang replacement, it would fit in nicely with the current fleet I think.

First thing I thought after seing the image was "Who put a K't'inga on the rack?"... we already have a new K't'inga.

Since we are at it, why not add a classic  http://images.wikia.com/startrek/images/6/61/Klingon_Feklhr.jpg
A "nice and friendly" ship for the fleet :)

Yes we do, but that's ok because it's not going to replace the k'beajq, we are talking about replacing the sang...maybe. This looks much more like a torp carrier then the sang does, micro photons or not.

Why replace the Sang.. the sang is the successor to the B-rel.
posted on July 27th, 2011, 7:36 pm
While that may be the case, it doesn't fit it's current role too well.

Woulden't the k'vort be the successor to the b'rel?

The K'Vort is just another member of the Bird of Prey family. That doesn't mean it's the successor, just related and with a similar design.

That ship also doesn't look like it has much more space itself; it's almost all neck, everything else is just as thin as the Sang'. Doesn't seem like it can caryy many more torps than a Sang' could.
