Not all of them are like that. I thought you of all people would know better than to generalize...

The Titan is Luna class, about 440 meters, is a deep-space explorer, and is in the Sovreign family.

(They had a design contest.)

Eh, 450 meters... I was close.

----EDIT----

to Fullphaser: The guy who writes the USS Titan novels...

Here's an exerpt from the site:

On behalf of judges Paula Block, Margaret Clark, Doug Drexler, Jennifer Heddle, Elisa Kassin, Michael Okuda, David Rossi, Edward Schlesinger, Scott Shannon, Rick Sternbach, and John Van Citters, I'd like to congratulate Sean and thank all the fans who participated in making the contest such a fun experience and such a resounding success.

With these judges, it might as well be canon!!!

in the directors commentary for Contact, where Berman flat out says, no the books are not cannon, that it is just the shows and movies... plus there is NOTHING and I Mean nothing on the Titan at what I would consider to be the one place that star trek cannon sits around and waits... startrek.com....

1) Well, do you have any canon information about the Titan? (other than it's Riker's ship) With the absence of canon, anything goes.

2) Of course the books arn't cannon. Anyone with a casual knoledge of the books knows this, and it's also why Star Wars is arguably better!

exactly which leads me to assume it is a sovi, I mean scrap the whole sovi project in favor of something new? the federation is more likely to make its next ship (flagship more than likely) a sovi anyway
