that Saber is just to weak? After all it is the first ship You can build and or some time the only one. Just to weak I think... Maybe it would be a good idea to boost it's weapon fire, f.e. to 6 points of damage? After all for some time before You buils science station and develop first reseach it is your only warship (is this really warship?). I like to think of Sabers as sitting ducks or easy prey - just not worthy of killing.

Other races Destroyers are ALOT stronger than the Feds destroyers, granted (thats changing in v3 i think anyway) but theres no point building sabers or monsoons or even intrepids at the start, you may aswell save your resources, build a 2nd shipyard and just build akiras all the way until you can build larger ships.

Like i said, think thats changing in v3, but for now Akiras rox.

Well, the Federation should have weaker ships if oyu go by canon-icism, but, I had that problem when playing it. Still, there are more fun races then the Feds, look at the Klingons, they love blowing stuff up

Canonly the feds should have the strongest ships to other races, and gameplay wise to offset their lack of special weapons.

Well the Dominion ships 1 on 1 were usually equal or weaker to the fed counterparts, it's just they always had more of them. The Borg I will give you, of course there is an exception to every rule.

sabers are ok in the beginning the the problem with the feds is that you need a very varied group and takes alot of time to build a good ship

i wont lie im dissapointed witht he sabre too cause i like that ship alot and its just too weak

i think IF ANYTHING the SHeilds should be raised as feds normally have the best sheilds

I dont no I thoaght the sabre was pretty good I use them with other ships and they make up about 30% of my fleet. I did make a mod that gave them a little more shield power and light photon torpedos.

Well about the dominion it all depends if your talking about the beginning or the end of the dominion war. Also actually its mmostly thanks to the writers that the dominion was so weak at the end. Just think about it, the Jem Hadar are bred for war, they learn nothing else their entire life,, but they were loosing consistently at the end of the war to fed troops. Now how is that possible, they have better reflexes, better eyesight and are better physically also mentaly. Yet they were still loosing, I mean come on :-S

It's not the sabre that bothers me, it is the 100 dollar borg scout that can't fire but once very six sconds, sure it seems balanced, but I think that if I am going to spend some money (100 dilitium) that they ought to be decent, they just seem so disprootialnal recouce wise to the rest of the fleets

the interceptor (thought that was a bit pricy too (480 dillithium) wouldn't be so bad cept it has little/ no power
