No not at all and why duss upgrades have to be a stricly romulan idea.

My idea is to have potions that whould let you costimise your ship like have more than one spelsal wepond so you could have more than one speshal wepon but could only chose one to be activated pership.

or you bild a week ship at 1st when a you biled a upgrade at a resherch station the upgrade whould not efect the ships all ready in servise. Thay whould have to be upgrated.

Thare are meny uses for costamization just think about harder.

which is dumb :P . like on legacy where they say you'll be able to upgrade you old crapped out constitution, so that its potentially better than a ship less than half its age :hmmm: . kepp this idea strictly for a race with very little base designs i say.

I hate that about legacy.

No matter how much you upgrade a constitution.

It should be less capable.

Due to the inefficient hull design which is ripped apart by damage in certain areas, limited amount of surface area and internal space for weapons, power ect.

Its just a game guys and eny way if wher where true to star trek lore thare whould only be on sovern class and the galixsy would still be the mane work hores.

Whats one more miner chage if it inproves game playing. Whith out upgrades the game is just a early vertion of C&C. The upgrades would add a hole nuther demintion to the game.

Your agument is pontless be cuss it like triying to say by add in a more rlisistic gun to star trek inserection would make the story work. Same gos for this The gams is all ready gone pass star trek realisom in to some thing elss all to gether. So by saying we should try to make some thing that is 0% pure 10% more pure duss not make it pure.

At this pont the FO team is boldy going whare no one has gone befor!!!

Uhm...

I could imagine a refittable Nebula-class for example. I never liked the tri-cobalt torpedo as a special ability of the Nebula and think the new one (forgot its name) fits this ship better. But why should one not be able to choose, which special ability it has?
I could imagine - just for example - to equip a Nebula class with a permanent tachyon detection grid. (Not that I would like that... :lol:) Or whatever..
I don't generally dislike ewm's idea to decide which special weapon a ship should get. Some choice wouldn't be that bad.

(But please never ever comapre FO to C&C. At least this hurts ME :omg: )
