Great!  Thank you for at least being open to the idea of looking at the Warp-in.

I honestly think the mechanics of it are great, the possibilities with it are great, I just really feel that they end up taking the place of ALL Mayson's early game ships (maybe not the Saber) and being a MUST for Risner when it seems like it should be more of a tactical ability you can wield than a MUST for your frontline forces.

Just my thought.  Warp-ins seem to be the cannon fodder and the bulk of early-mid game ships out there because it simply is just SO cost-effective by the second Warp-in.

Great .. Another anti WARP-IN threat.
I really don't understand the need for rebalancing .. as in most multiplayer matches it's not 1 vs. 1, and most the time ( 80% at least ) the fed warp rush is unsupported. Also most the time it's easy to counter it.

In multiplayer like it or not much depends on your ally.
And just because your micro managing skills suck (mine as well) don't jump to the conclusion that warp in is overpowered etc.

Can't handle 2 excelsior ? After all most the time that is what you get.

Stats wise the galaxy and nebula are not the monster ships of the game, and the galaxy's torpedoes miss the destroyers a lot, it's phasers are medium range as well.

The nebula my seem more of a treat with its pulse phasers, but it's not that a big deal as these ships are slow, i mean really slow compared to the destroyers.

The ambassador, another ship you get a lot, is short range and as slow as the galaxy.

Steamrunner .. Like it's name says it .. slooooooooooow .. And weak defense

For you kiters out there this is free kill. So what's the big problem ?

The expansion can be begun with a turret, send in 2-3 destroyers, as you can get that many with any race and kill'em.

Is it just me or are many players out there whom want to win, because they need the excitement, almost making you ask them may a build another ship ? May i attack ? may i research ? ohhhhhhhhhh
and you still lost the game ?
oh .. poor dear .. let granny bring you some tea and cookies

#[{@#@#&{@#@#&@#@#&@#&
there . censored

also if you build more than 5-6 of the same ship type you are a spammer ..
duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, as if im the "glourious" history of human kind spamming was not a strategy ( Stalin - one of the graterst spammers ever )

Now skin me alive f@#&>}

2 warpin rushges are uncounterable, really, and 1v1 is a lot more common than you think. I would say well over half of the games are 1v1.

warp-in is not unbalanced because its too strong shipwise but because it allow feds players to ignore supplies while others must spend them on ships. imo its ok that its dil/tri free but it should cost some supplies. just compare when other races need to consider supplies to continue building ships and when feds do that.

I wouldn't say it is uncounterable, just quite difficult on big maps. However, that really isn't the concern: what Tom mentioned above is though. Although the vessels may "cost" something early on, later in the game if fleets have been demolished (or even if they haven't, but warp-ins leveled up or destroyed), Feds can recover extremely quickly because they get at minimum 9 additional vessels in a very short aount of time for no resources at that point. Not the most balanced ability.  :whistling:

Put a supply cost, and there you go.

Though one thing is, the devs should lower the cap to 9. Because I find it all too easy to rank up descents and then next thing you know you got 3 of them leading a fleet coming towards your base!

Almost nobody uses Descents though, and they usually have a hard time leveling up in MP ;). Warp In cap seems just fine I think.

Just because it's possible to get 3 descents, doesn't mean you will, especially in multiplayer :P
