Yeah.  I make it a policy to only spam really crappy units, in an effort to figure out if there's a critical mass where they become non-crappy.

Pretty much anything will be unstoppable if used in big enough numbers, that's why Zerg rushes can be so hard too beat. It's more of a case of figuring out where they meet critical mass than if.

Thats what counters are good for...the Susa however has in some cases no counter...

detectors have a critical mass, but for u to get to it, your enemy would have to be a potted plant.

just like chors, chors have a critical mass with which u can take down a starbase, i tested it. you have to fill the screen with them. but unless your enemy has less iq points than you have chors you arent gonna win.

susa uses only torp spam, so maybe hyper impulse sabre spam could do the trick. gen spectres take 25% less pain from torps, so they might be useful.

Cho'noq?!

I hope those were the dominion mixed-tech version!  UGH.

For a weapon called 'assault disruptor' I've never found it good for anything but base defense, and then only barely...and in swarms.  Usually only with Dominion Mixed-Tech too.  That way they have the range to maybe, just maybe kill stuff before it gets close enough to blow them to Gre'thor (because I don't think that ship is Sto'vo'kor material.)

awe :'( how could you say that about my favorite ship to spam!?

Sadly, because as much as they look cool, and shoot cool...they move like crippled slugs, can only fight for a few seconds, and have a problem killing small and fragile ships, much less anything in their own class.

I wish I could love them, but they remind me of that old, dull knife you've have for years.  You don't want to be rid of it, but you just can't use it anymore.

Too bad that old dull knife is made out of adamantium and has poison barbs all along the edge  :woot:

aye, the chonaq will get its redo soon too :) we will do some content patches this year in relatively quick succession, to prepare for the race redos. the ChonaQ will probably be included in one. 3.1.3 we are just about to finalize already focuses on the Klingons (the Vutpa' for example), while the next one will have some Romulan (Generix) and Dominion (whee, something new) candy! :D

this thread has been completely hijacked, as nobody is gonna pay attention to susa stuff after optec gave us hint that new patch is coming lol.

Heh, I don't mind.  This was more of a lesson for me.  Clearly, weeks of testing, observing games, and clear dps calculations are not the way to explain things.  Next time, I'll just show a few susas blowing up some fed ships, and everyone will be like "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!!??  THIS MUST BE CHANGED!"  >:(

:D
