Is This Normal?

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

but since thats not there, a nebula that is present in most maps wud be easier to implement IMO

Maybe the Red Nebula, as it seems to store enough energy :D
Though adding a new kind of nebula shouldnt be too difficult, and placing it on a map also cant be that much of a problem. But they have to like the idea first :)

So, let's abuse the topic  :D
The question remains the same though.

I noticed several times against the Borg and the Klingons that my ships shields collapsed for what reason ever. So, how many weapons are around causing a shield failure? In the first instance I'm asking because neither a BoP nor an Assimilator has weaponary which could disable shields. So I'm not talking about special weapons here. That's weird. And that's annoying.

Another point: My repair ships sometimes repair my enemy's ships  :ermm: I guess at least that is not intended.

Assimilator has devestating attack feature, which collapses shields :) Bops dont have any such weaponry though.

Yeah, right.  :sweatdrop: That could explain it. Though I'm still wondering because there wasn't any special effect...  :ermm:

but a vor'cha has the polaron torpedo, which could hit the shieldgenerator

Kl0K, istnt that the shield breaking torpedo? That causes immence direct hull damage.

The other thing about the borg though is the fact that there graviton torpedos have 10-20% chance of direct hull damage, and if that hits you shield generator... good bye. :assimilate:

Poleron Torpedo disables a random system, the Shield generator is a system. Sounds like very easy maths.

Yep, the B'rel has the Graviton marker (quite possibly the most annoying weapon in the game)

I don't think the Poleron Torpedo can hit shields I was trying to knock out the shields of some descents and sovies with my vorchas and not once did it hit shields. Every other system was disabled but not shields. Maybe I was just really really unlucky but this has happened more than once.

Yeah I dont ever recall the polaron torp to knock down shields either, maybe they stop regenerating for a couple of sec, I dunno  :ermm:
