Bortas too strong?

Also I hate to say this:

  But for Klingons suffering some a lack of supplies late game with little chance of winning the Bortas strike is really one of the only hopes they have.

  I think it's even harder to field than the Hyperspace Artillery's.

  Sounds like you had a very mixed fleet as well.  You worked hard to keep their ships disabled in your ion storm and they deserved to go to Gre-thor for being caught in them .

its extremely hard to field. u have to tech up through all 3 yards then tech up through the thousands of klingon stations to the imperial research. then you have to research all the bortas specials if you want it to cloak, which without cloak is easy to kill. then you need to build a klingon super station to increase the power of the bortas to deal its max damage. then you have to build them, usually all three for super killing. if you are super dedicated and want all its power, you have to find some easy stuff for it to kill to rank it up (if you do this ur enemy will know you have them for sure). but at max power 3 of them can nuke a base.

in comparison hyperspace artilleries are still hard, but not as hard. they are built directly by constructors all you need is a few stations that u were probably gonna build anyway, once they are built they dont need any research.

EDIT: i agree with boggz, op you had a really good fleet, using specials to trap them in the ion storm was good micro-ing, u deserved the reward of watching his fleet die.

As of now I dont use much. I did when the  Bortas had the Ion Storm torpedo. It was great to use to the  Ion storm torpedo to shred sheilds  on stations and ships. then use the  other ships to attack  while the sheilds were  down. If  one worries a bout the Possability of being spammed limit the number of the  ship  that  can use the Ion storm torpedo. Can we get the ability back ? PLEASE ?

Vorchas are fine. Neghs can Pwn kvorts relatively easy.

Lawl no way dude.

  Not for the cost of each one.  Unless you have a huge map where you can insta-tech or declare a 10-minute cease-fire.

  K'vorts do 7.783 damage out of 11.279 (69%) to the Negh's because of TWA and the size reduction..  The Kvort's are much cheaper, faster, and the Neggie's will miss the K'vorts frequently with their torpedoes.

    My money is on the K'vorts .  (being buildable from 3 yards helps that too)

totally agree boggz, one on one a neggie is the better, but in reality (by reality i mean fleetops which is not reality) for every neggie u put out ur enemy will have completely destroyed you twice with kvorts and will already have disconnected and gone for a victory crap

  I've seen a Tactical Cube go down in seconds while being attacked by large fleet of K'Vort class vessels.

Sabers can easily couter the K'vorts with long range I think. Especially with its special on to reduce hit chances slightly.

Sorry mate, you think wrong  . K'vorts massacre Sabers. A) there is no way you can get enough Sabers to counter equal time K'vort build, B ) it takes many times the number of Sabers to kill a K'vort, regardless of miss rate.

dom's correct, kvorts are the best ship in game atm, i tested it out against the ai just for fun, it was a massacre. i almost felt sorry for the poor ai. but then i remembered i hate ais.
