? You mean Staying Power? I think the Galaxy outclassed or at least matched pretty much any ship of any other race encountered in TNG up until the Borg cube.

Edit: Not bad for an 'Explorer'

Especially a Galaxy with an experienced crew, which is all of them.

the enterprise crew wasnt experienced, they just had 7 year contracts (well most of them)

picard: bald, too much time wasted speechifying

riker: FAIL

troi: uninsurable, crashes any enterprise she ever flew

crusher: rarely does anything important.

worf: solves all his problems with ramming speed

la forge: a bit of a liability, what if he lost his visor?

data: not fail, actually useful due to being smart

wesley: soooo annoying, get off my screen, and go back to school and learn that the klingons never joined the federation

yar: main character, name in the credits and all, still managed to get killed in the first season, thats epic fail, when you're a main character and you still manage to die, its probably for the greater good.

the enterprise was crewed with idiots.

I see you don't need a reason to consider Riker a fail...

At least Picard admits he's bald, unlike Kirk and his wig.

myleswolfers wrote:worf: solves all his problems with ramming speed

Can't see a problem there, ramming will solve most problems... by removing the problem directly (along with yourself so you can't have any future problems).

i need no reason, dig deep in your heart and u will admit that riker is fail.

and picard spent too much time surrendering and talking.

and ramming would never work because he's a main character, main characters (who are smarter than yar - which is almost everyone, including picards fish) cannot die. they have contracts. worf tried it in first contact and it didnt work. main characters cant ram, only redshirts and their enemy counterparts can die heroically (unless its a season finale, in which case anything goes)

Oh, I already know. I still blame him for the loss of the Enterprise. Troi's sunday driving only counts for the actual crash... hate to think what that would have been like if Data left the crash control to her...

Data and Worf try, but it's hard to work under the conditions.

As for Wesley... he's Wesley.

Picard never surrendered... and thrashed the Sheliak with talking alone (enjoying every second of it).

data doesnt fail, he was pure win. as Q said, he was trying to be something less.

and picard strangled the sheliak with red tape, they arent exactly the borg, they only appeared in one episode and were never heard from again. i mean they could have leant a hand against the dominion at least.

You forgot to mention that Yar epic fails twice!  First she dies to the tar monster, then she has a second chance at life through the wonders of timeline disruption.  But what does she do with that second chance?  She ends up giving birth to one of the federation's most cunning villians and the one responsible for her death a second time, Sela.  Thanks to Tasha, Geordi gets captured, tortured, and turned into the manchurian candidate, the feds almost lose the Klingons as allies due to their civil war, and Vulcan almost gets a fun party. :woot:

Thankfully, Tasha's epic fail genes were passed to her offspring, meaning epic failure is expressed in half of Sela's genes.  This is actually better than 100% of your genes expressing epic failure, however.  For while Sela doesn't epic fail, she usually just fails with great consistency. ^-^

I liked warf he seem to me to be one of the few that that understood the dangers out there. The others seemed to want to trust the Romulans way to much. I pretty much liked most of the crew. Maybe iam wrong but i was watching Enterprise and thought captain Archer would have made a good captian also in the tng. Back to the early conversation, the Enterprise with an experienced crew, or not, was still not as strong as the Warbird. While watching an episode of the tng, we saw the Romulans for the first time in the tng, they were in the NETURAL ZONE,  when they showed themselfs to the Enterprise, they made it very clear that they are back,  and they dont want the Federation there period! i always got the impression the Warbird was stronger ?

That wasn't the original point, Navyguy :).

The original Point was Baron's desire to have Warp-ins be less expendable.

I understand that ,  i guess after reading all of the comments i just thought that a Warbird would be higer up on stats then what it is, then crew meambers come up, so if warp in ships come in, i agree they should be less expendable, i also feel that the Ambassador should have higer stats then what it does. I dont know about anyone else here but my warp in ships seem to always be Ambassador's and the excelscior class.
