Well, there are exceptions...  :whistling:

Simply put, I don't believe you. All you need to start building Borg units is the Conduction Matrix. For Klingon I assume you will be expanding your Field Yard and building Field Research to build K'vorts. That already costs more than four times the amount of the Conduction Matrix. Although a Probe costs slightly more than a K'Vort (in dililithium, but less in supplies), it has longer range and better regeneration and thus can nearly go head to head. A Scout Cube costs about 100 more dilithium than a K'Vort, but can easily destroy one. That being said, by the time you get your first Scout Cube out, your Klingon opponent will not even have their first K'Vort out.

Oh, I've been able to kill two Scubes using luck and one lone K'vort. So don't say there are no exceptions just because of common occurance. Besides, if someone knows how to effectively use a K'vort, you can kill any destroyer or cruiser of any race! Just use tactics!  :D

Really, I'd like to know how you accomplished such a feat, given that the K'Vort is of the same range and speed as a Scout Cube. ;)

More or less, I used the torpedo thing first so I can fire when cloaked... then I decloak it and shoot at it long enough to regain energy, recloak and repeat.

You only have enough special energy to fire 3 times while cloaked (leaves you with single digit special energy... and regeneration is slow. Thus you could have only fired two torps, then tried to recloak after a looong wait. At best you could kill one Scout Cube using that tactic, at worst you will lose the K'Vort while cloaking (4 seconds to cloak... plenty of time for some non-missing torps to destroy that weak hull). However, this still bares little relevance to the topic at hand, as that one K'Vort now costs more than 1.8 Scout Cubes (because of research). If a Scout Cube was armed with Devastating Attack for the same logic, that K'Vort wouldn't stand a chance. Seriously, this "balance discussion" is ridiculous: we are merely talking about hypotheticals that never happen in a MP match and that don't affect balance at all. The whole proposition that you can K'Vort spam to destroy a good Borg opponent is preposterous.
