You're thinking about business-class laptops here, that commonly last 7 years or more.
Asking for a GAMING laptop that lasts 4 years is a joke. There are simply too many complex, heat producing components integrated with each other. Gaming desktops regularly lose components before 4 years, but the broken part can be replaced without affecting the rest of the system. With laptops you can't do that. There's a healthy market for refurbished laptops made of salvaged parts, but repairing a gaming laptop can't compete with the price of getting a new one.
