Sounds like you need a 580 for "testing" proposes lol

yes, really hard to tell what the problem there is. it seems like that larger textures are not rendered properly. i guess this is a driver issue. without further testing (i don't have this card) i can only say that you should wait for a driver update.

Only thing is that sometimes nvidia has been known to not fix things in there drivers, which make playing some of the games impossible to play on new hardware. For example i used to play a game called UFO: Afterlight and bought a new card to find that nvidia dropped support in the drivers which caused similar graphics corruption to FleetOps.
Thanks for all your help, let's just hope Nvidia repairs it's drivers in their next realese.

Boy, that's an understatement.
Along the same lines, my new 6870 isn't loading up Fleet Ops either. Seems like the program simply terminates when I try to load it. Might be the new hardware blues. I will test other games as well. Just updated my entire system. The "new hardware blues" is not something new. Every time I upgrade my system, I get the NHB!

If you are going into the device manager to see wheather driver updates are availiable then that could be the issue, i tried that and it said i was up to date, i went to the nvidia site, and used there tool to detect my card, and it said i wasnt up to date,
that could also be the case with direct x
And even if it is just your graphcis carsd i really do wonder what the issue, as i am running a graphics card that is very powerful, but was not made for gaming at all
its a nvidia quadro nvs 290 1.6 gb card, so id definently check the nvidia site for driver updates if you havent already, as i dont see how a 580 would not run it but a 290 would, as we can see with my card, i dont think it being more powerful would be the issue.....

Just a small update just downloaded Nvidia Drivers 266.35 beta and FleetOps is still broken. I know that they are just beta drivers but it is starting to tell me that nvidia has definatly changed something in its new drivers.

got my new puppy today fleet ops installed something went wrong
Using nvidia's 266.58 drivers.
Not quite sure which setting or why this is happening, figure i might be able todo something in app control with nvidia's settings panel alas to non-avail.
note: ive pretty much toggled every gfx option ingame.

I thought about building a new system... but with those "news" I will NOT buy a new NV-card. From all those new shiny things (580, 570, 560 and HD 5870/5970) is there anything that works? Is the whole generation of new graphic cards so srewed up, that it wont load Fleetops?
I have an ATI X1600 mobile running here and everything is just fine. Crazy... Don't know, what the companies are doing out there.

Hi all,
Today i reinstalled my windows 7 x64 and updated all my drivers including the new Nvidia 266.58 drivers.
FleetOps Still refuses to play, not that its the games fault, as are these current batch of drivers, which makes 3 versions of drivers that i have tested, to no avail.
To the moderaters could you please sticky this topic or create a sort of warning topic in the technical forum advising new or current users not to use these new drivers on their system if wanting to play Fleetops.
Thanks

It'll be fixed next patch, so I don't think that warnings will help too much
