What's your favourite episode? How is romulan ale brewed? - Star Trek in general :-)

I enjoyed the movie, as well. I think it helped pull Star Trek out of the muddy pit lameness it had gotten itself into. But I still like to nit-pick about the stupid contrivances they put in, like red matter, and Nero's silly reasons for everything. (Yes, I know his planet blew up.
Boo Hoo. Anyone not at least capable of seeing where I'm coming from probably liked Enterprise and Voyager, so....
)
And the building was from die hard. Definitely some good talent there on youtube.

The countdown comics made the movie MUCH more enjoyable, in particular Nero, who i liked. I think the story in the Countdown comics SHOULD have been portrayed in spocks "flashbacks" with the mindmeld. Nero at one point wanted to steal the red matter and go to Hobus himself instead of waiting for the Vulcan high Command to approve of Spocks plan, but spock asked him not to and promised him that he would save romulus. It wasnt until After Romulus became a new asteroid field that Vulcan decided the hobus phenomena might be a threat and sent Spock on his way, and so Nero doesnt have just this hatred for Spock failing on his word, but he has this self loathing aspect of "If i hadnt listened to him, none of this would have happened".
As for the destroying of the federation aspect, i think that was just his normal opportunistic romulan side shining through, intensified by his fear of romulus being destroyed again and his hatred of those who quite literally sat back and watched romulus destroyed and did nothing until Hobus became a threat to everyone else.
And i'm insulted, as a Voyager fan, that you compare voyager fans to Enterprise fans...how insulting

You mean the Romulans?

Well, that sounds like a much better explanation, Zyrious. Seriously, it would have taken a few minutes more to explain his motivations besides, "I'm really pissed and stuff."
Nobody's perfect.
