Ships From Star Trek Online

I wa sjust medeling about on the sto site and i was wondering if any of the sto classes or there Variants will make it in to the game as npcs or playable units?

They might be on as fan-created or if enough people start begging, but their approach to Starship design is somewhat 'unpopular' with a good number.

i sincerely hope not.

a lot of people, including myself, think that the sto designs are awful.

i personally think the entire game is awful.

The devs prefer the TNG-style, but you could get someone to make an addon version. There's certainly going to be some STO ships for stock A2 sometime, if they're not already around.

And STO designs (and by extension JJ designs)  are horrendous. They need to die.  :guns:

I acutally think that the ships in STO look great well as long as it was someone other than cryptic that designed them. I like how all of the "old" ships in the game keep getting more refits because everyone that plays likes the canon designs the best. O yeah the uniforms in STO are pretty good IMO as well.

STO i bought the game, and well i think it's okay, but getting online, well iam not sure if paying is a good move. I know this has been brought up before, as far as the ship's i think they look better than what ive seen some putting up here, but as usual no Ambassador Class. Actually i do like the way they look, i like the upgraded Excelsior Class.

If i was ever to play this i would prolly have to break down and buy and Excelsior just because it looks so good.

Wow, since I have no real interest in the game I've never bothered looking into it, but like you say, their canon ships don't look too bad, but their attempt to make supped up varriant with all those visual changes are horrible. And, it's quite far from what I see as Starfleet's design philosophy of fewer ship classes but each is highly versitile.

i dont think their work on canon ships is anything less than an insult to trek lol.

Most of their canon ships look terrible.
