Having too much stuff runs the risk of it tiring out.

Star trek is dieing anyway if they dont make new stuff then its dead anyway. They just have to do a good enough job of re-creating something new so it doesnt kill it off.

The Recent startrek movie wasnt that bad and by that i mean the actors they got if they continue as a series or more movies then theres a chance startrek can keep going, so long as that moron doesnt blow up anymore planets.

Doctor: dammit jim i cant fix this hologram, he's written in C++ and i only know delphi

:D

its a nice idea, but I think you would run out of interesting stories real quick. Also I must say that holographic crews dont really appeal to me personally :p

And yeah, pretty much agree with Kestrel..the movie was bad if you consider the pure 'trek' is has ( or rather, hasnt ), but at least it entertained people..which means it could keep the franchise from dieing a silent death..

As for what I'd go for ........ TOS era (running concurrently with TOS even, allowing for the occasional easy episode with overlaping plots and CGI insertion into TOS episodes) episode on a new ship/crew, using copies of the same set style for a Fed ship, same costumes (but have some female crew wear pants instead, and always on away missions).
