hey dont take it personally, i meant no insult. its just if you post anything on the internet that is even mildly quantifiable/measurable/verifiable and its not 100% accurate, somebody pedantic (like me :P ) will correct you.

Yes, we've all met enough Grammar Nazis to know that even an error of 1% isn't exempt...

Kind of like to see a  new series  a mixed  crew of Klingon,Romulan ,Federation, and Cardassion who's job is to  recover  ships and crews lost in space . Make the crew the worst of  every  race  that only after serving  for a  specfic time will  be released from service (if they survive). Got a ship that is disabled in a Nebula that  might explode at any moment? Then they are the grew ,because they are expendable. you could have  the dynamic interaction  of the Klingon captain who dreams of  past glory and finding  his family after the Borg  destroy his planet. The Romulan Officer  who had the misfortune to  fall in love with the wrong woman( the Eperior's wife). The Cardassion doctor who  did many terrible things in the service of Cardassia and now seeks attonement for his sins. The Federation engineer  who  in his spare time  studies and  can  make  obsolete weaponds of mass destruction of every race. Just a thought .

I liked Enterprise, because it seemed more realistic.  It didn't have as much of the infinitely powerful enemies (such as Q).  I like the concept of DS9 as well (especially the Dominion War), though I haven't seen it.

Honestly, I would love to see something from a different prespective.  But it probably wouldn't be as interesting (and people couldn't relate to it).  I mean, it would probably go like this:

Dominion: "Oh, look, another planet.  Let's take it and enslave or exterminate the population."
Klingon: "Let's fight!" again, and again, and again...
Romulan: "There's a ship.  It's not Romulan, so let's cloak." or "There's a Romulan ship.  Let's cloak, because they could be plotting against us/our friends/whatever."

None of those cultures is necessarily evil, especially following the Dominion War, but that doesn't mean they'd make good protagonists.

@Pappy63:  That seems a lot like a wierd comedy.  And a mixed crew is really unlikely in Star Trek.

Personally i would love to see a show featuring a Steamrunner as the main ship. The puppy has received too little attention during the shows.

The steamrunner because it is not a powerhouse. Capable of defending itself, but not state of the art or overpowered.

The Enterprise-C could have a series of its own. The Battle of Narendra III would make for a decent series finale.

oh yes. even though you know it's coming it would still be poignant. as long as the audience connects with the characters.

i think the c deserves a series. maybe it could...you know... saucer sep :P

My idea for a new series:

I thought, DS9 was cool, so make another one:

Fleetops. The main story is about a general who manages his own fleet. He is sitting at a starbase and must work out border conflicts, new crew assignements, fleet-management, defend the star-base from snipe-attacks, prevent invasions, to firework and firefighter-work... you know, all the things an admiral of a fleet must do.

Then we see many introductions of new ships, combined manouvers, sophisticated stories and daily-life of the starfleet.

The great advantage: We dont have a super-duper-ship like the Enterprise D/E/Defiant/Voyager... they can all be destroyed in order to view a balanced universe.

I even have a plot in mind, but no money :-(

Not the FO variant. The regular light cruiser variant.

Yes it is, but despite that i prefer the regular version. Still love to see the regular variant get into FO.

Both wouldn't be a stretch, Voyager already showed Tricobalts being carried along with conventional cruiser-grade weapons isn't alien to Starfleet.

I doubt the likely rare Tricobalts would be seen often, series ships don't lay seige to stations or expansions that often.
