this Kirk Vs. Picard, Who will win? it is starting to sawnd like a history thred i think it mite be agood idea to movie this convo about the French to anuther thred.

kirk is fat and lasy pecard is fit and old. hard to say how will win.

Were talking about the Kirk that was on the original constitution class, not the refit. So it is quite a challenge.

you shouldnt have started this one we did something like this at planetarmada along time ago and the thread hit 30 or so pages easy still think it goes on today not too sure

Anyway its simple

Picard - better decisions
Kirk - better viewing (makes the show more fun)

Napolionic won many, MANY battles tho, WWII french pretty much just lost only.

Well in WW2, they were simply overrun by the new german strategy, although they outnumbered the germans and had stronger armor, basically then all the germans had were panzer 1, 2 and 3. I think they had some 4's too but not nearly enough to make a difference
The reason they lost though was the lack of strategy of their generals, as they were still thinking WW1 strategy, not the new one So they were just unlucky that they lost paris so soon and capitulated, as I think if the fight would last a bit longer they would make a better stand

Now in Napoleonic time, they were the masters, their only problem was that everyone else was against them :S. But even so they kicked a lot of other europe nations armys arses Which is funny since this was almost immidiatly after the revolution, where they suffered quite some casualties in civil and army sector

I wouldnt dis the french so much though, the real LOOSERS of all wars are the Italians, I mean they ALWAYS lost. In S Africa they got ass-kicked by the british who had 10 times less men than the Italians :S They also screwed Hitler when they attacked in the Balcans and got ass-kicked there too, so Hitler had to delay his plans to invade Russia for a few cruical months, where we all know what winter did to his troops
It is funny though that after both world wars they changed sides in the moment they were invated and ended up as winners, so they didnt pay any consequences :S

But thats besides the point, I still think Picard would win

Believe this or not but actually the french had better, more heavily armored tanks, keep in mind this is before the reign of the tiger. The reason they got pwned is they only had a few in isolated groups without support.

French of today suck, end it.

Well italians never had good technology, and they never really quit trying. French DID have supirior technology, and they failed miserably.

I'm part Italian, so I wouldn't go so far as saying that they suck. If us Degos (another name for Italians) sucked, then Mussolini would have been a joke. Remember that we invaded North Africa for crying out loud.

They had superior technology than Jugoslavia and yet they got arse kicked they outnumbered the british troops in north africa by 10:1 and they all surrenedered I mean come on. And BTW they never had inferior technology in second world war, I guess tank really is as good as its crew. What good are chickens that surrender at first sign of trouble
