I've always wondered about this...

What's your favourite episode? How is romulan ale brewed? - Star Trek in general :-)

Well, have any of you guys read the "Star Trek Destiny" book series? At first I was pretty sure that they were cannon...but then they told the ENTIRE story of how the Borg were created...which had NOTHING to do with the Legacy version. And then they got rid of ALL of the Borg. So...I'm really not sure what to do with it. I'd like to consider it cannon, because these books are REALLY good...but now with Legacy claiming to be the "prime universe" So...ya...really don't know what to do about that one...

I think most people define "canon" as what was in the shows, so I don't think the books count.  If they did, everything by Peter David would be considered canon to me. :D  He had a great Borg novel called Vendetta.  Brilliantly written.

Ever wonder why Starfleet wanted a 'completely' lifeless planet, not one 'moderatly' lifeless?

Read the 'Genesis Wave' novels, see what happens to the inhabitants of worlds hit by Genesis.

Rearranging molecules to your content on a solar system scale (as I recall it created a star system in the middle of a nebula.)  It sure got rid of Khan and his ship...imagine a fleet or an inhabited system (especially one where multiple planets are inhabited) hit with it.  I'd say that's the most powerful destructive weapon besides an Omega Particle torp...oh wait, Voyager's not Star Trek, most powerful destructive weapon in Star Trek. And in theory you could make as many as you want using replicators :o .  I can see why the Klingons didn't like Starfleet having it, they were jealous.
