Favorite Star Trek Series
What's your favourite episode? How is romulan ale brewed? - Star Trek in general :-)

I liked Enterprise; it wasn't my favorite show, and it did certainly have flaws, but I liked it more in several ways than Voyager. I've always enjoyed watching Voyager if I'm in the mood for a Star Trek fix, because it plays like five times a day on various channels, but I never did like the characters that much, with the exception of the Doctor. (Ironic how the only artificial character seemed more natural than the rest of them...) Also, I love the Borg, but I think Voyager really, REALLY overused them at points; the first episode where they hint the Borg might become involved in the series, I actually felt a shiver run down my spine. But after three seasons, whenever the Borg popped up I reacted more with a 'meh, cyber people again.'
My favorite show is probably The Next Generation because it was basically a Star Trek rebirth; it was the show where you really felt that it wasn't just a ship, but a community, and there was almost a sense of family.
I also liked TOS, partly because some of their special effects bordered on hilarious (flying fake vomit back-clingers, anyone?) and the interactions between McCoy, Spock and Kirk were priceless.
I don't get any DS9 on my channels, so I can't pass judgment either way. >_>

Well, hmmmm....
I grew up on TNG and watched TOS over and over too. DS9 was excellent, and I think probably the most realistic depiction of the Trek universe (grey vs. B/W). TNG did some grey world work too though. I can't really stand most of Voyager, torch bearer of Deus Ex Trekkie Machina. Enterprise was decent, but yeah some of it is very weak. It has its redeeming qualities though.
Overall, I kinda go by the feel of the show and how much I liked the actors/characters. I think DS9 and TNG had by far the best cast. No contest, really. I'm having a really tough time deciding which I would think best though. I'd vote for both TNG and DS9 if I could. Each has flaws so it's hard to go with one over the other.
I suppose though that I'd have to go with TNG. That show is like an integral part of me.

Welcome to the Flip Flops Forums swaaye!
You express a very balanced view which I happen to agree with. I think TNG and DS9 both have a different flavour so it's hard to make comparisons. A strong point of TNG is that each episode is more or less self-contained so it's easier to keep track of. But DS9 has very interesting strategy and politics IMHO.

Enterprise was my favorite followed by DS9, TOS, VOY then TNG and TAS.

ds9 had a rather weak start somehow; I do like this more "epic" storytelling concept, where you tell a story over several episodes, rather then that closed concept, where each episode deals with a closed story;
So I did more grow up with TOS, then TNG or DS9;

ST VYGR is the best in my opinion. It's the most recent series in the 24th century. They're lost and cut off from starfleet. And they have the Borg.
It has alot of action. And it has Seven of Nine
PS: I like to see Borg die if you know what I mean
