We've seen in the STU that time travel occurs all the time and doesn't even necessarily have serious consequences.

Even in the real world you can make time travel work if you change your reference frame. For instance, if Q traveled back in time to change something, if you make your reference frame instead incorporate the fact that the thing that Q's going back was already part of the timeline and thus the thing had been changed before it had been fixed (aka not even changing) then time travel can work. It just isn't time travel anymore ;)

Einsteinian logic is most confusing and settling at the same time.

lol, that is how I alwayse explain time travel. :lol:

It really throws the temporal prime directive out the window. :whistling:

Indeed--well at least the idea of it anyway... unless you of course look at it using the perspective that that is what already happened as well... and then things get really confusing. But yes, of course, the time travel that is espoused in Star Trek is highly ... unrealistic and causes all sorts of grandfather paradoxes, which subspace based technology then conveniently covers for  :lol:
