Is it locked? If not, it can be edited any time and people can easily miss a single word.

Well put! I won't rank the others though, as I can't sort them out for definite. So it's more like TNG then a kind of splurge.

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Voyager crew because along with Elite Force it was one of my first ST encounters. The first being A1! A friend bought me that as a birthday present before I even knew what Star Trek *was*.

We all know how much the series' contradict themselves, that could explain it.

Memory Alpha takes after the show quite well...they are both about as consistant sometimes.
Probably...Memory Alpha takes after the show too much sometimes.

I thought you were the one who has said many times that Memory Alpha was practically infallible
If we look at the evidence in any episode before, Q has always demonstrated a great deal of knowledge (well, he did say his IQ was about 2005) and ability to instantly know what is going to happen around him. You are saying that Sisko--a mere human--was ale to "catch him off guard" in circumstances that were hardly surprising: I would then bet that Q wanted Sisko to hit him, to give him a sense of superiority
Since you want to argue semantics, disprove that please. Despite all this, I concur with Exodus here. The shows contradict each other and DS9 writers just wanted to one-up Picard--afterall, gotta make Sisko the king.

Is time linear for Q? Even if Q could be catched off guard he could go back in time and avoid it to be hit. And i dont think Sisko would even recognize that.
If Q dont want to be hit by a human i think the human would not have a chance to hit him.

Huh? Since when did I say that? I only said it was the most reliable...there is a difference.

The fact that he was surprised means something, just because you taunt someone it doesn't mean you actually expect they would take the bait. He isn't the near-god people seem to think.

Assuming he's even bothered about being hit...I can't see him going out of his was to avoid it since a Human couldn't actually hurt him that way.

He's smart, not all knowing. He was surprised he hit him, because it was something Picard never did (though he probably wanted to, several times...).

Sisko was allowed to hit Q because it made good TV, surely?

Just like killing Borg like flies in Voyager

I make a passing remark to show the differences between the two Captains of TNG and DS9, and some of you seem ready to exchange Wippien addresses for solving this through a FlOps duel. Remember to allow observers in the game, if you really go at it.
Anyways, I like all the crews from TOS to VOY, but I will admit I have a special liking for the crew of TNG as a whole.

Well, while Q are all powerful and stuff, in that one Voyager episode there were such things as weapons powerful enough to kill Q, however only a Q can create, but any being could probably wield them if the Q wished for them to. Besides, I think that while Q is practically a god, and has such great powers he is defiantly not perfect. Anyway, Q is just pure awesomeness. He's my brother's favorite character, and my favorite comic relief character. Q is great!

Can you strip someone all-powerful of their power (and clothes for some reason, maybe that proves the other Q have a sense of humor? Not that Q found it that funny...)

Q usually doesn't find the embarrassing things that happen to him very funny.HE was probably pretty embarrassed about his "Peace making" son of all things.

the problem with Q being able to travel though time is that everything happens for a first time. obviously were are seeing Q being hit by sisko for the first time. even if Q went back in time and ducked it wouldnt matter because it has been established in the star trek universe that new timelines are created all the time.
the current one with Q looking like whitney houston after a bobby beatdown would still continue on.
the Q arent even alone in being super powerful. i cant remember the name of the species but there was that old dude who was living on a planet by himself and wished an entire alien species out of existence when they killed the old ball and chain he was with.
