You in the Zombie Apocalypse

What kind of zombies we are talking about; the typical slowly brain eating once; the fast ones from 24 days/weeks later; the hyperzombies from resident evil?

Does it matter? I'll find a shotgun and or Uzi and kill em all. My machete will cut them to pieces while reloading.

i got mosin sniper rifle so i wuld go on hiding , be like a shadow , fire a shot or 2 just to save your own ass and let the others to do the fighting if they dont know whots good for them. zombies will rot some day and you bether be there to see it

Sorry, I just can't take russian weapons seriously. I've seen pretty decent shooting mosins and svds, but you can't even put em in the same ballpark with their american counterparts.

For bolt actions, give me a remington model 700 over a mosin anyday, for semi auto give me a springfield m1a over a svd...russia built quantity, america built quality.

As for surviving something huge like a zombie apocalypse, invasion, or bloody revolution, it's important that every able indivdual does his part in ensuring the safety and well being of those around him/her. Of course it's important to look out for yourself, but in all reality your own survival chances get higher with others to help. Which is why not even the finest soldiers on earth fight alone.

Moral of the story is, have good equipment, become an expert with your equipment, be part of the team, and don't be a blue falcon.

Mosin was created in WWI it is battle proven rifle in WWI and WWII and it is still in use by professional snipers due to its reliability , American weapons are made for simple show not for fight . If you shot a zombie with magnum you will rip its arm off but you will have to be some 5m or to put in american 13,5 feet from it , if you use mosin sniper you can hit it in the head from 3km. The most important is to be safe not powerfull if you know woth I mean.

longest sniper kill was less than 2.5km, that was a trained british army officer who was incredibly lucky, as the bullet travelled for about 6 seconds before hitting the target, dropping about 121m in height.

untrained people (even assuming the mosin was as accurate as a modern sniper rifle) wouldnt be able to reliably hit zombies at anywhere near 3km.

now stop having a pissing contest about which country makes better guns, both of your countries have devised incredibly lethal weaponry which you can be proud has contributed to thousands of deaths.

I would probably be a surviver(with slow dumb zombies) with other survivers. Then we would build a fortified town that grows its own food and has a water suply. There is a book called "World War Z" that I thought was a almost accurite portrail of what would happen in a zombie apocalypse.

If you feed people to Zombies, make sure never to trust anyone else; one of your victims just may be someone they knew. Or they could just have the same idea...
