Transformers going to 5?
Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Depends on the aliens. While high density population might be the way to go... in complete contrast they might colonize the least densely populate area for a foothold. Making antarctica or the arctic prime targets, if they are ok with the cold. Or, if they don't mind the heat, they just go to a desert.
Depends on their weaponry. Maybe building a spaceship takes a lot of energy, and they decided no huge weapons. Maybe its an intergalactic bylaw that no battles be fought in space, all wars must have a planet base battlefield of sorts. Because damage to ships is too costly. Perhaps its very difficult to conduct a battle in space in all manners. Even the ship in battle could do some fluke command and blow itself up. Safety first people! Even Aliens know this. Whooooo Knows? So all their weapons need to be deployed after landing, and they don't want any one close by.
Or, perhaps they just want the resources. Population might not matter to them at all.
What I always thought would make a great story line, and one of my main reasons for watching the movie, is an Alien attack with the Moon as a strong hold. Doesn't need to be the dark side. But if they had powerful land based weaponry that could be used across space, i.e. shoot the earth at point blank range from the moon... scary. We would be so completely helpless. All this time we're investing with land to air missiles, son of a bitch, why?!? didn't we think of space missiles!! Although, the topic of space armament isn't exactly foreign to world leaders, unfortunately it is a consideration.
But anyways... as alien are extra terrestrials not of this world... who knows what their strategy would be for getting rid of us... if that is a part of it.

Adm. Zaxxon wrote:These days, every movie or actor is trying to push some kind of view point, weather it be subtle or completely obvious. To be honest though, I didn't see anything wrong with it in this case. What is so wrong with a little pro US stuff in a movie made in the US by Americans? Its not like they were killing nazis, or commies as the steriotypical Pro US movies go. They were fighting aliens. :2guns:
Speaking of which, how did you like Captain America?
But like everyone else said, if you went to the movie to see anything but giant robot aliens beating each other up out over some random alien thing that somehow concerns humans, then of course you will be disappointed.
Right at the beginning we saw the Transformers attacking the Iran

I didn't watch Captain America so far, but I've heard things about it...

I think the US movies have some kind of George Lucas effect. Special effects out weighs story and if it is successful, make a sequel. Not to mention revamp old movies.
But it will sort out... i hope.

Indeed, that is because we are at war with muslim terrorists and nations, but that all changed once they introduced aliens.

And you wouldn't like Captain America if you don't like the US or something.

Don't worry, America still very much has anti Nazi and Communist propoganda - seen many election campaigns in the US yet?

That would obviously be pretty impossible.
And where was silver bolt?? He was supposed to be attached to optimus in a couple scenes, but they never showed him more than that.
Silver Bolt? He was never mentioned at all being in the movie. Everything i've read never mentioned himat all so I don't know where you got that from.
But I assume we all appreciated the latest, notably with "the one where Spock goes nuts".
Was a nice touch.
Indeed it was.
Also, the Twins where in the third movie but I guess Sentinel took him out in his rampage.

Really? This is the least of shows where I would say bringing a character back from the dead would be impossible. Especially considering they only did it like three times.

It must have been a rumor. Infact, here it is.
In January 2010, James Avery claimed in an interview that he would be playing a new Autobot named Silverbolt.[65] In June 2010, representatives of James Avery, responding to a bizarre rumor that he had passed away, confirmed that the actor was indeed alive and would be playing Silverbolt in Transformers 3.[66] Despite this, neither Avery nor Silverbolt ultimately appear in Dark of the Moon.

Well I"m glad they didn't talk.

Not that it is canon or anything, but in the many storylines, he dies and comes back, so it is not impossible. Nothing in a world with robot aliens is impossible.
Well, from a general audiences perspective it would be like "Really? Again? Another baddie brought back from the dead? Insta fail!".
We've had enough of that either way though. No more please.
