When the Democrats started taking up a more socialist stand on things, the Republicans took advantage of that by appealing to religious types, and this was back in the Cold War when Communism/Socialism, which leans towards secularism (often interpreted as Atheism). With a little simple strategizing, the Republicans made the kill, and they now have majority control of Congress. OMG
This is evident in the South. However, states like Montana, which are traditionally red states, now lean towards Democrats. Montana is run by Democrats in both the executive and legislative branches. Max Baucus, a key senator from Montana, is a Democrat. The governor of Kansas is a Democrat, as is the case in Wyoming. North and South Dakota are represented mostly by Democrats in Congress. The west coast is nowadays very liberal unless you live in Alaska (too cold, so no one really wants to live there and thus local folks are more conservative and not succeptable to liberal ideas, mostly). Ironic, isn't it, that Bush was born in Connecticut, and he calls himself a Southerner? Also, Texas is not part of the South anymore, huh. It's more like its own country. Here's what the South really consists of: nothing! The Confederacy was wiped out by carpetbaggers who turned the South into the new home of the Republican party while the West and the North are now under the majority hand of the Democrats.

yeah sure, i perosnaly think he has f***ed up a few times but he can do a lot of good, the people in iraq where being murderd by there own goverment just to enforce dictatorship and so what if the us and uk get oil as some spoils of war they still have to pay for it in three ways

well you logic is flawed if bush is getting all this money even if he don't have the intell his advisors would do they would tell him to put some back in the us bank and another reason you are in debt is the same as the civalised world you gave god knows how many mills to the tsunami diaster remember over a few hundread mill (i know the uk people on its own with out the goveremtn gave more money then a few countrys on its own did in the first week (ie by the time the us had gave 18 mil we had gave 50 m) thats why the us and most the the civalised world is in debt because of charitey.
