New forum bugs, issues, hiccoughs and stuff

Got an interesting one here.

So i'm just walking along, minding on my own business, looking at the unread forum topics page, and then it's listing a single unread thread that was started years ago.
...
the thread is also at the top of the general board for me, as if it's been necrod.

i actually made a post in this thread and deleted it right away. The thread had a 'last reply' date of 1970 and therefore showed up on the last page of the general forum. By doing this i hoped to fix the thread to show the correct last reply date again...which it did - but haven't expected it to show on the first page afterwards.

1970, eh, that was when fleetops was on the HP 9100A IIRC.

feds were so OP back then because the other races were allocated less memory and so could have less ships on the map than feds.

nope, still a decade too early for asteroids level graphics, and those were in an arcade. fleetops in 1970 would have to have been a textual game. and not a complex one, that hp thing was a glorified calculator.

I have changed avatar image uploads to be less restrictive regarding image dimensions. Let me know if anyone experiences issues with it.

got that too. it happened after some downtime earlier. they're probably busy fiddling with the site a little.

I just noticed that the timestamps for posts in the news section are 2 hours off for me. I posted something at 11:57 and it showed up as 09:57. Here in the forum (and the forum news thread) the stamps are correct.
I re-checked my time settings and they are correct, both on my machine and in the forum settings.

the timestamps issue should now be fixed
same goes for the issue with reverting email adresses or passwords after changing them in the user profile.
should all work now...

signatures are currently (intentionally) disabled.

Ah, That would explain my confusion.
