I had some hard time with the map editor, and now am able to produce maps. Although I think you should move up the map editor on todo-priority, as it will increase the number of maps people will create.

Do you mean more AI modes (as in expanding the current selection of normal, hard, merciless)? If this is what you mean, it is unfortunately not possible according to the devs  :( Why? Isn't it not just like changing the mapfile? The AI does have normal files with "trees" in it - what to d...

I aslo thought about the doctors flink... :)

with "BUT it destroys shields" I tried to express, that the Ship, which attacked will be pretty vulnerable afterwards.

What would be cool is a super weapon with single shot (expensive) and devastating effects, BUT kills your shields...

Sounds a bit uncanny, but would look cool - planet with defense and orbital mining station and you can collect Dilithium in it. Slowly.

Maybe it is possible to load more AIs into Fleet Ops? Like Mapfiles...? Would give the game another individual touch! Is this possible?

just wanted to push this from the gutter, I liked the idea so much and haven't heared anything about it the last weeks/months and didn't see anything in a newer release :( Any developements here?

I agree... I'd say the damage on subsystem could be doubled at least. 90% of all ships just get destroyed. Their subsystems start failing when hull is down to 10%. Lets give it a chance like: - 5% Random Subsystem damaged if shields are still intact - 3% Random Subsystem destroyed if shields are sti...

Two bugs crossed my way:

- Mining ships just stopped working after some time. no clue why (borg).
- Captured a tavara with borg. Was able to give it veteran status.
