Ok so ive got a problem the model is more or less done (id like to add some more warts but I cant figure out how to center them properly) but i honestly don't know how to proceed from here. I have absolutely no clue how to texture it. Ive been putting off for some time now but I thought I post here and see what you guys think. Also ill post my new pictures

Thought so - still looks good mind you, but I wouldn't be impartial to seeing them shortened a bit  :whistling: . Maybe just cut out a little from the middle  :shifty:

Nothing wrong with long Nacelles, I kinda like that part most about the Sovereign and Excelsior.

When will I be able to have a taste of this new material?  :hungry: Do you need a texturer? I can generate some texture maps for ya.

Something tells me that the Excelsior/Miranda-II Textures would work for this...

ya, but having a reserved texture set is usually better for if you want special details.... maybe I can try making some that could be used for this ship. :) I'll also include lightmaps and all of that good stuff. ;)

Well i dont think that texturing is an issue however its the part in between that is the issue, figuring out where it goes. I can texture it i think but right now it seems like such a big job that I dont know where to start.

Oh you mean the daunting task of unwrapping the model for texture mapping you mean?....actually as long as you have the model broken up into several mesh groups it isnt to bad.. but still I hate it. Also make sure that all your vertices are nicely welded that way you wont get nasty lil dark smudges on the texture from lighting. Try doing a search for lithUnwrap which is free and makes unwrapping a lil bit easier. I would definitly do the unwraping first then make/apply textures to fit the map. ms3d texture coordinator thing confuses me and frustrates me to no end so I cant really give any tips with that. I would definitly try the excel IIs textures first though if you have/can get permision to use those.

Is that what thats called ooo i see. i already have lith unwrap (thats how i got the excel II model) and i only have to do the hull really because zeich did the rest for me hehe.
