Modifying a vessels sheilds to help it push through nebulas is different than having combat sheilds. But I guess for gameplay sake I could accept an oberth class that had durable sheilds under weapons fire....actually what would be cooler is if say the oberth had "special" sheilding to be unafected by any nebulas....and combine that with improved sensors....hmmm....god I hate the ship itself but Im starting to see some tactics I could do with it.....ah what the hell a game with more tactical options is a cooler game.....

Oh and about an oberth at Wolf 359....starfleet mustered every ship it had...even science vessels I guess....thats my explanation for it.

For lightwave not that I know of however I have heard of workarounds for importing non stock sods into ms3d however I have never been offered this workaround solution yet. anyways since u have lightwave u could make some models urself and port them into ms3d with the available importers off the ms3d site....personally I hate ms3d but Im getting used to it....unfortunately I know nothing about making animations other than using FRAPS lol so.....good luck

@2 the devs: Is it possible that my Sona pack can be used for the 3 Avatar patch? If so than explain the due date, if not please explain why.

Oh... by the way, once these ships approach testing stage, I'll post some scrnshts. B)

It is unlikely that a custom mod will make it to an official release. However if the devs think you are good enough/show great modding skills, they may ask you to join them. although I have only ever known it to happen with Zeich.

But I'm looking forward to your mods especially Gamer, the Scimitar and the Son'a. How are you going to keep balance when letting the destroyer do more damage to Feds?

(Not that it is necessarily going to be unbalanced, just think of all the weapons that only affect shields having no effect on Borg)

Well, I'll keep a balance, besides, the damage is reduced when hitting a borg vessel just like any other weapon. Yes there might be some problems which I can allow there to be som tweaking by the devs to fix it. :) After all, there is little reason for me to say that it stays as is. Because I am not a master, but I do try to make a canon balance (trying to keep some amount of balance with the idea of canonism in mind).

But of course none of my projects are a quick snap like Tyler's. Because I try to work through the entire thing. ;) So yeah, It may take some time, my only hope is that it maintain's its worth.

Now, due to the fact the Sona battlecruiser will have some rather interesting stats, I made way to make a prototype that doesn't always make friends with the wallet (like the Breen Battleship prototype, very expensive). Though one thing you may find interesting is its large tritanium cost, it will not have the best shields, but a good amount of armor. ;) Now, I am uncertain how to make things go with the Battlecruiser's weapons, though I will take note for balance.

Oh. :(
It generates entire sets of ODFs for you in one shot, even weapon odfs! so you don't have to do all of that pesky calculation... Brings FO modding back down to normal armada times (or at least closer).

The Sona Injector ship will be included?

You know, the one with the two solar sails. I think it would make an awesome battleship, like if the Injector was built upon a pre-existing hull for a battleship.

Think about it.

It wasn't built there, that means impulse and warp drives are there. I doubt it's an unmanned station, but a heavily modified starship hull. The thing is big.

How do you know it wasn't built there? Did you see it built in a Yard? Did you see them modify a Battleship?

Did you see it Warp into the Patch?
