Tereanan Empire Mod (New Thread)

i was going by your role playing thread, where it blew up a cube with its first shot.
1 shotting a sphere is still pretty manic. and the ships above (battle cube and barge) can 1 shot it. it still sounds like none of these capital ships will ever be built.

Singularity torpedoes were used to destroy those cubes, not chroniton torpedoes. In this mod, singularity torpedoes require research to use. And only a few ships use them.

that no1 will ever build like most of your ships...

If you don't build ships, how are you supposed to win? Only a few ships have that much firepower. The rest don't have even close to that much firepower or shield strength. Even so, it's still a steep climb on the techtree to get those ships.

exactly. how often do you see cubes in fleetops games currently? not very often. but your battle cube/barge are way more powerful from your description. that means it will take longer to be able to build them and cost a lot. ie the game will be over by then.

Most likely it will be the case that the game is over before the top of the techtree is reached. That's how it is with every game in Fleet Operations. Always over too quickly (almost always). Although free-for-all matches last a lot longer than team matches.

It's phasers only do 80 damage (directly to the hull). It's torpedoes only do 100 damage (directly to the hull).
Yeah, only. Do you have any idea of how much 80-100 damage ignoring any shields can be for non-Borg-vessels? It's like a veteran-Akira-spam (but more than twice that strong and as a single force).
Edit: I'm sorry but it really seems you're focusing your race to destroy Borg, forgetting that Borg have the strongest defense on single ships ingame, which would outbalance anything that's not a massive Borg-ship-spam (Pyramid-defense-like and above)... think it over again. It still can become better to even good. Right now the Tereaneans seem impractical. Who would seriously play them when what makes them "cool" is basically unobtainable?

the current top of the tech tree is hard to reach yes, but your ships are gonna be even higher tech, they will be even harder to reach. unless you make them as easy to reach, then they will easily be op. you either have ships that are really powerful, and nobody gets to make them, or you have really op ships. or i guess you could have ships that are about the same as in fleetops.

The destroyers will do nicely early game. They just about match the firepower of most cruisers and they don't require any chassis research. You also get one cruiser at the bottom of the techtree that's about the size of a Galaxy stardrive section. So while most players have moved into their mid-game ships, the Tereanans should still be in their early-game ships, which with the exception for the chroniton torpedoes and phasers, should be able to match up to mid-game.
Any other ships you want will require a minimum of Level 1 Cruiser Chassis. The first battleship requires Level 1 Battleship Chassis, which requires Level 2 Cruiser Chassis. Level 1 Cruiser Chassis marks mid-game for the Tereanans and Level 1 Battleship Chassis marks late-game.
Level 3 Battleship Chassis is required for the Mountshining III, Battle Barge, and Battle Cube.
Plus, the Tereanans require more time to get set up. The idea is that early-game, you use the transporters to keep the enemy fleet size down. Coming up on mid-game, you have several enemy vessels captured plus you are producing your own vessel and the total number of ships you have captured and built will just about match that of the enemy fleet, but the enemy should have a stronger economy than you. Chroniton pulses will not go through the shields. This will allow you to take out enemy shields and board the vessels.
I have one question. When the turret beams into space, I want a footprint to be created over the turret to prevent anything from being built on it. Does Fleet-Operations support this?

I like Star Trek but don't think I am an expert on it but is there such thing as a Tereanan Empire in Star Trek?

No, they're original God-mods.

No, the Tereanan Empire was my idea. Originally just as a nation on Earth and I had no knowledge of Star Trek. Does anyone know if it's possible for my turret to get a footprint when it's beamed into space?
The turrets being beamed into space are just to provide the defenses that the starbase would provide. Because the Tereanan Empire doesn't start out with a starbase.

I think TCR really liked the Borg but his spheres kept dying so he now wants to punish them.
