Thanks for all the compliments. I'll try and answer some questions.

[EXC] 1337_64M3R wrote:OMG.... that is great. Quick question.

Could you possibly make a transition where the Enterprise leaves the platform as the hero and a FO canon (or hero unique to FO) be put in place?

That would be possible, but for this one I was just trying to replicate the A1 mission as closely as possible.

Yes, I'm sure Picard had some doubts about whether the Premonition was from the future or not.

TCR_500 wrote:How did you get that ship to go through the wormhole?

Either by using ent:giveOrderEntity( Order.Go, wormhole ) or ent:giveOrderPos( Order.Go, wormhole:getPosition()). Either one makes it go through.

Myles wrote:awesome :D

i like the way that the premonition was getting molested by two probes now, before i think spheres were involved, but fo spheres make a1 spheres look weak.

Yeah, I mentioned that in the description. With spheres the Premonition got eaten quickly and you need a pretty substantial fleet to take them down before the Prem dies. I had to give it a shield boost as it is to give the player a reasonable chance of getting there on time.

If you mean the Premonitions/USS Premonition thing, I can't claim that one as that's what the mission was called in A1. If there is some other pun in there that I don't know about then I claim it in full :D.

then i ran it on vista 32 and it worked very well.

maybe setting 7 to vista compatibility?

Tried compatibility mode, I ran it on xp 32 with no problems back in the day, but it says i dont have enough memory to run it, same thing happens with stock armada II.

That's an odd error to get with aII. I'd gotten the same error with a1 the only explanation I could find after scouring forums was that  a1 can't run on a system with more than 2gig of ram, basicallyanything beyond that the game registers it as not enough.

That's what you get when you use assume a signed 32 bit integer will be enough.

I'm excited to see what modders can do with all of this. :D

Yeah I actually remember reading something about the RAM, was thinking of taking some out of my computer to get it to 2gigs but havent tried it yet. Ill have to test that one of these days.

I think it would be pretty epic if a future patch of FO shipped with a remade version of the A1 campaign. Once mmm-loader.dsl has been updated I'll gladly help remake all the A1 missions if you are up to it Megadroid. At the very least I can remake the maps since you say you don't like using the map editor  :sweatdrop:

I"ve only played one of the A1 missions.  That was an interesting video.  What would happen if you put the USS Premonition under attack by a single 3 regen, 1 beam sphere?

@megadroid
btw. did you get the enhanced scriptinterface in fo working? so does it work if the "enterprise" gains a new rank?

No, I haven't manage to get it working yet. At the minute I'm just relying on the name "USS Enterprise-E" being unique. I'll most likely try again soon though.
