I read somewhere on the forum that someone suggested adding the Armada 1 campaign to Fleet Ops. I think. I might have imagined it, but that doesn't really matter.

Anyway, I've remade the first mission as a test of MMM.



Obviously it's not perfect - some issues that remain:

No Cinematics : couldn't convert the BIKs from the old format easily. I might do it a roundabout way later though. I just had the standard A2 'look at who is talking' method instead.
Shoddy camera work : I'm really quite bad at laying paths.
Wormhole : Could be replaced with some kind of effect, wouldn't be too hard to do.
Cursor : I forgot to stop FRAPS from hiding it. You can still see what's going on though.

When I've polished the map I'll probably post it up somewhere.

There are some inaccuracies because I only had a let's play and the map editor for reference - I can't get the game running at the minute.

OMG.... that is great. Quick question.

Could you possibly make a transition where the Enterprise leaves the platform as the hero and a FO canon (or hero unique to FO) be put in place?

When you said you were going to upload a mission you made in FO I was not expecting this.... this is ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!! And courtesy of the new tutorial I can finally make stuff like this!

i like the way that the premonition was getting molested by two probes now, before i think spheres were involved, but fo spheres make a1 spheres look weak.

That was EPIC  :woot: Brings back fond memories of A1, especially since i cant play it on Win7 anymore  :(

well i ran it on xp and it was terrible, barely worked.

then i ran it on vista 32 and it worked very well.

maybe setting 7 to vista compatibility?
