I'm proud to officially announce that the cardassian full race mod "Fleet Operations: The Final Frontier" is underway! Meet the team:
Neon.2009: Mod Founder, modeller/texturer
Blade: modeller/texturer/gui
1337_64M3R: AI, misc coding
RCIX (me): Main coder

The Final Frontier is a full race mod intent on bringing you the cardassians in their full glory. You'll be able to finally do battle "For the union!" Features include:
* A full techtree including mixed tech
* Unique playstyle
* 3 avatars
* A full complement of special weapons to attack your enemy with
* Uses the rank and veteran systems

Project status: Under construction

News: Work is coming along well, but most of the ship lineup has yet to be decided.

What ships, special weapons, staions are planned yet?

The article about the cardassian dreadnough procides the most information about cardassian canon technologie. Hope you are gonna use most of them.

Hey RCIX, well done! Any chance this will be compatible with TUN's (The Undying Nephalim) extra avatars for the stock factions? Or with minor work to make them compatible on the part of us user types.

It might be well worth getting in touch with Dan1025.

I think this mod for stock A2 pretty much gives you all the reason you'd need to get in contact! B)

So far things are going a but good!

Yeah, there will be 3 avatars, so it would Require TUN's mod to an extent. Once this is finished many will be surprised with our hard worked results. We basically have ar Advatars defined, and majority of the models are ready and being tested. So it won't be too long until finishing!  :thumbsup:

What about special weapons? And do you have all normal weapons?

* Plasma Wace
* Thoron shock emitter
* Thoron field
* Duanium shadow
* Thoron disruptor
* Computer system for predicting hostile actions (see ATR-4107)
* spiral-wave disruptors
* one main phaser
* possibly two wapr cores
* three or more impulse systems
(last two shall just say, that a galor or keldon is gonna fly on and on even if bein half crippled)

Weapons have already been decided. Sorry, just we are working quickly. But maybe if we come out woth a 1.1 or 1.2 version we could take additional suggestions.  :sweatdrop:

Hope you haven't invented something like graviton beam etc. again. :P

If you are planning to have a good mod, you will have to make further verions and will get bombarded with suggestions and critics.

Can you guess? it'll be done when it's...Done! I hope to complete the first version in a month or to but no guarantees.

Special weapons: i do have need of some ideas  an a couple on that list look doable as abilities. I've been tossing around a dual-warp core ability idea for a while but was not sure how well it would be recieved. I'll definetly add that in.

Playstyle: i don't want to give away too much info, but here it is:
Low cost, high buildtime
lower than average stats
Veterans pretty well and fast
Each ship starts with a passive ability, gains a special weapon at officer rank, and another passive at veteran.

I won't be contacting Dan due to the fact that the team has not one but 2 modelers who, if i may say so, are highly skilled.

Please, discuss!

First, i dont see why it would require compatability with his, since you can add a third avatar now, without his mod heh. But if youre right and it does, wouldnt it make more sense to integrate the two mods? I saw you asked him to make you a couple of avatar pics for you... It just seems like a logical choice :)
Lastly, can we get the names and a little basic info on your avatars?

Only problem is that there is no obsidian order anymore... Unless you are planning on explaining how they are back in power somehow...
