Ooo... really nice proj! But the clouds look like they belong to a commet... Make a comet for maps! :D The only difficult part is the programming... because.

1] Someone else attempted it but they failed to have an actual traveling comet that you can see where it actually is.
2] Probably you may have to put it into the pathing obj since it is supposed to be mobile...
3] You'll have to make sure that computers Don't mistaken it as a mobile asteroid belt...

If you got those things than you can basically really boost your reputation. :thumbsup:

you haven't had a look at the tactile assault demo have you?  Or even midnight universe?  They both have moveing comets.

The finished texture will be skinner, and will be more like a contrail. :thumbsup:

I have Midnoight universe... but the comet only appears where the 'Map marker' is. I'm talking about actually travelling throughout the map! Not just shoot around one location that you can only see it if the marker is on screen. I'm talking like those mobile asteroids where they could go through the entire map! You know... something like that.

Well, the finished one in the assault demo goes all the way across the map.  atleast it does in mine :shifty:.

Anyway, I am not interested in making  map objects. :D  I go for full mods. ^-^

Update:  I'm running into problems with the new lines of code, so it may take longer than inticipated.  I have also joined the final frontier modding team, so my work is kinda split between these two mods. 

SPOILERS!

I am going to say more of what this mod is.  It is a full race addon, but not the way you would think.  It is two races from the same universe.  One race is the first avatar, the second is another race.  Also, I am not sure if it will be balanced to FO, but I am making it as close to its own cannon as possible. 

It will include a rank up system specific to the addon, multitargeting weapons, lots of special weapons, and a different style of tooltips.  It might have new addon specific music.

For now, it will not include, a new GUI, new cursors, or sounds.(eg button sounds, ship voices, ect)

cus he didn't care, and I didn't really have time to create a whole new button, and get it in the right position, and all that.  Like I said, I ad doing alot atm, modding, and in real life, so I have very little time to dillydally before I have no time at all to mod.  When summer is really over Alot of things I do in reality start back up, and I never have time to just sit and program on the computer.

I'll be hoping for an (unlikely) Federation/Terran side.

If you don't have much time for adding new buttons, I could send you a completly blank set of buttons?

Well, I don't plan on doing many atm, so Thanks, anyway.  That is actually how I do my own buttons.  I just use a blend tool, and basically erase the picture that is on the buttons, and replace it with a blank face.  It is pritty easy.

I meant an entire slate, not 1 button. Keep replacing others and you will run out.

yeah.  I copyed a "slab" of buttons with ships already on them, and then I "wiped" them off uesing a tool in gimp.  The finished project looks just like that. :thumbsup:

I just don't remove the ship pic untill I need to.  It helps to find the correct refrence numbers for the gui_global.
