lol, I don't think you can

But It looks very cool! I know tyler will be happy. :lol: He is always pushing for the team to put nebula modules in.

the best thing to do would be to download them, then attach them.  if they don't go over the KB limit, then they will appear as thumbnailes instead of a full size pic, and then when you click on them they will become bigger. :thumbsup:

Greetings fellow modders!

I want to inform you that Evolution team looks  one or two new members who are familiar with weapon ODF coding, special weapons, balance, or AIP coding. Applications can be sent in PM or e-mail.

Short update about the mod: It's coming together, currently the very complex techtree and ODF system of the Federation are under development.

Uh that is nice!

I remember a Stock A2 Mod that had roughly the same Idea but was never finished... and it's glad to see the Idea being alive and in FO :D

Cool stuff! I find it amazing how the modding community starts to focus on the features FleetOps has to offer and convert their stuff over.

could you give example bou the complexity of the odf/techtree systems your using so we know wot to expect :P but looks and sounds promising so far keep it up

...I would love help, but if I keep offering to help, I will never get my own stuff done :sweatdrop:  I"m already helping with three other large scale mods becides my own, I think helping with one more will be problematic.  sorry... :(

Well, it will be very complex :D
It starts from the launch of NX-01 and you can play all the eras of Star Trek. Of course advancing in time means advancing in technology as well with all the upgrading and refitting stuff. Generally, you'll be able to refit your fleet when you enter a new era for a significant lower cost than buliding new ships. This means that you'll have quickly a balanced fleet for any eras. Of course not all ships can be refitted. You can refit a Constitution in the TMP era, but as the Connies were removed from service in the next two decades, you won't be able to upgrade them in the TLE era and on. However, if you build a Surya Class, you can refit it to a Miranda which can be upgraded until the end of the Dominion War.
So this means a lot of refits and upgrades. If you add FO's rank system, you can imagine how many ODFs we're talking about :)

:woot: I love it, I can't wait for it to be finished. I would love to help, but unfortunatley I have no experience whatsoever :(, however I am open to learning :D.

I'm curious, would the Borg be worked into the second part of this mod? I know it's a bit early to be planning their appearance, but I'm just curious as I've had ideas, but been unfortuantely unable to implement due to my complete lack of understanding about modding and code, about being able to plan the evolution of the Borg. As in, for example, rather than assimilating through transporting and holding beams, be able to research early into their history the ability to assimilate vessels through the use of nano-probe torpedos that are designed to assimilate the sections of the vessel that are hit, or ramming the vessel and letting the drones literally walk on board. Or, alternatiely, allow them to increase effectiveness of assimilation by evolving the method, from transporting the enemy onto their vessel and assimilating them there to some sort of nano-probe based directed energy weapon to I don't know what.
Admittedly, this fitted in with my idea of being able to precisely evolve every species, from say choosing whether the Federation uses phasers or disruptors to deciding on who the Dominion would ally themselves with.
