Hello everyone, this is my first post.  I just got done installing the mod and I'm loving it!
I want to play with the original Miranda, but, the readme instructions on how to install are like Greek to me.  Any chance of getting a self-installer, or just very clear step by step install instructions?
Thanks!

oh, sorry, I can try to make them better.  I made them for someone that already kinda knows what they are doing, so I will update them for you, and then post them here.  Oh, and welcome to the forums mate!

Could you possibly add instructions for putting the ship in as a normal warp-in ship?

uuh, I haven't done that Because I was going to add that in the next update, along with new buttons, to match the 3.0.8 style, update the textures, and a few other things.  I will try something later, and see.  It requires a little bit of work, so It will have to wate for me to finish the century, but I will do it either today or tomarrow.

Sure, I can do that. :thumbsup:

I managed it by myself to the point where it'll warp in, but it's a white error and won't move or do anything.  How to proceed from here?

E/ Put the basename into the MirandaW I copied and that got the model to work, however it's "warping" in at impulse and not changing ownership.  I'll keep working at it and edit again if I get it to work!

E2/ Changed the physics to the warpin physics, now I need to find out why it's not changing sides once it gets here and I'll be good.

ok, I finished this last night, so I can show you what you need.  I think you are missing the line

origionalclass = "fed_miranda"  but I'm not sure.

Another thing I will upload as soon as I can.

Thanks to your detailed instructions I was able to get this to work! :thumbsup:  I'm really pleased with the result, and you did a great job.  I like how it becomes a modern ship when you get it to vetern! :lol:

Got it to work myself with the help of the ODFs you put up, thanks a lot!

I think what did it was adding a random weight in fed_warpinA to the Miranda

ah, ok.  I really don't know exactally what they are used for, because these are new features.  But, either way, I'm glad it works for you. :thumbsup:

The random weight tells you how often that ship will be "given" when using the Warp In. For instance, if you have three ships for slot 1 and you give the first ship a weight of 1, the second ship a weight of 2, and the third ship a weight of three.... ship one will have 1/(1+2+3) chance of entering, ship two will have 2/(1+2+3) and ship three will have a 3/(1+2+3) chance of coming. Does that make sense?

Keep up the good work  :thumbsup:
