Dominus_Noctis wrote:The random weight tells you how often that ship will be "given" when using the Warp In. For instance, if you have three ships for slot 1 and you give the first ship a weight of 1, the second ship a weight of 2, and the third ship a weight of three.... ship one will have 1/(1+2+3) chance of entering, ship two will have 2/(1+2+3) and ship three will have a 3/(1+2+3) chance of coming. Does that make sense?
Keep up the good work
Ah, that helps alot. Thanks.

Well, I was informed that it was an outdated and discontinued ship, but I will put it on the list of ships I may do. I can only do so much before summer is over, but until it is, I will keep convirting ships as often as I can.

Hey ADM. I just added this Miranda as a warp-in and I must say it is AMAZING!!! one of my favorite ships so far.
Just one issue I have seen. for me when it warps-in it counts as a mixed-tech not warp-in count. At least that's what it says in the tooltip when I hover over it. Not a big deal but do you think maybe I missed one of your GUI changes or is this a known issue?

Well, I thought I fixed that in the warpin update, but it may still be a problem. I will look in to it, and fix it. My next update will come when 3.0.8 comes out. Updates will include: New buttons, Fixed cap files, redone weapons(toned down a little). And maybe more.

Hi ADM,
Just writing to say thanks again for your work on the Miranda Class! Looking forward to your next update. :D
I know this will sound dumb, but, how can I disable the feature that upgrades the ship to an updated ship? I sorta like it staying with a retro look. Better yet, dare I hope actually having the ship update to a Saratoga Model (as opposed to a Miranda Model) instead? When I say Saratoga I mean the Miranda Class ship Sisko was first officer of (the one with the removed "roll bar" but updated phaser/sensor mounts). Just asking.

You r welcome mate!
I will work on a fixed odf, but if you want you could just copy the fed_miranda.sod, and rename it to fed_mirandar6.sod replaceing the old one. that should do it, but the hardpoints will be off so i will have to fix that. if it is too big, open the fed_mirandar6.odf and change the SODscale value. that should do it! I'll fix the odf when i have time but that might not be until this weekend

I have to say.... looks pretty nice... can't wait to release some ships of my own... especially now because I just found out how to use Assimsoft to put engine glows!

If it were all packaged into a little pack with all your recent projects in, I reckon you'd be onto a winner there!

Well.... Not that you aren't already...

Downloading now.
Also, I use Notepad++ to edit the odf files...it makes editing them a breeze. You may also
have to update the techtree file in order to build the Miranda.

Well, If y'all want me to make a ship pack of all the ships Ive done so far, I could do it pretty easly. the only problem is the century which I could never get permission to use. I could include it if someone could find a way to contact k_merse, but so far i haven't been able to, so all i could do was make an odf, and have you do it your self.
I will think about it. I am currently in the process of moving all my stuff so my new computer, so I could do it while I am moving it. It won't take long to move my stuff(my old computer had a 36GB hard-drive), So i will try to get it out soon

@candelarius
ok, So Just past the attached odf onto your odf folder, and that should do it. it will fix the sod and wire frame, and hard point problems, so it should all work properly.

You might want to edit the Saratoga lightmap... The Impulse engines and Torp launchers don't light up despite being lit on the textures. Same with the Borg version.

huh? I didn't add any lights. I'm not sure why they should glow, but I'll take a look

By 'lightmap' I mean the black/white image that tells the game what part of the texture glows and what doesn't.
See the large Impulse engines at the back? They don't light up on the texture that comes with the ship.

oh, well I don't really know how to do that. I measn like I said I can look at it, but I am not very experienced with ship texturing, so I don't really have an idea about how to fix that. I didn't even know that textures glowed.
I was thinking of Engine glows. not the same thing.
